The first few days he controlled his urges as they all sat in the office, he worked on his computer and watched the girls slyly. Even though they dressed in shapeless clothing, it was difficult not to desire them when they were with him all day. But he had to exercise patience, for two weeks he portrayed himself as a perfect new colleague, agreeable, obliging and amusing, earning their trust while the machine in his desk did its work.
The insidious device buried deep in his desk emitted a signal perfectly tuned to the female brain, weakening her power of suspicion, doubt and creative reasoning. Each day that she spent in the office it commanded her mind, preparing her for him. Thoughts that normally would have been rejected were now cast into doubt, decisions that she would have determined herself were now beyond her control. It was an astonishing phenomenon which he observed unfold over many weeks. The powerful business women became increasingly incapable of governing their lives or their workplace. Fortunately, he remained there.
