He forgot his wallet

Mark dug into his pockets and realized that he had forgotten to bring his wallet. All he could scrounge up were three measly pennies, not enough to buy anything. Or so he thought.

"Please sir, I forgot my wallet. Could I just use the bathroom now and go get it later? Please, I promise I'll come back and buy something."

The old man running the store laughed. "There is one item that only costs a penny. You have a penny don't you?"

Mark pulled one out and dropped it on the counter. "There ya go. Can I go pee now?"

The clerk laughed again. "Hold on young man. I need your signature." He placed a form in front of Mark, which was in a non-Latin alphabet.

Mark groaned. "I need a pen" he said doing his best to not be rude to this stupid old fuck.

The man handed him a sewing needle. "No lad, this signature must be in blood."

Mark angrily pricked his finger with the un-sterilized needle and bled on the form. "There. Now I please use the fucking bathroom before I piss myself?!"

Mark hoped he wouldn't be punished for the profanity slip, but the man didn't act like he noticed. Instead, he walked over and brought back a pendant necklace.

"Here you go young man. This is a very special item, which you must -"

"Bathroom key! Now!"

"Oh yes of course." The clerk reached in his pocket. "Oh goodness, I don't appear to have it on me. Let me check the back room."

He went to check it while Mark cursed and kicked the counter. "Fuck this shit, I'm going now!"
