He finally makes it home

Matt managed to make it home hours after school let out.

A pair of cops hassled him about hitchhiking, telling him he'd been reported by several passer-bys and threatened to haul him in if he misbehaved. Several cars of teenagers drove past him shouting criticism of his wardrobe and ancestry and certainly not giving him rides, and a nice-looking young man driving a BMW offered him sex... if Matt paid him three hundred dollars.

Finally, though, he struggled in the door hungry, frustrated, and mad. The day at school had not gone as well as he'd hoped.
