He explains he's distracted by the pretty girls in class

"I'm really sorry, Ms. Chadra." Matt did his best to put on a sorrowful expression. "I got distracted today because, well, there are some pretty women in class and, well, I was looking at them." He held up a hand as if to stop an interruption, as if a teacher couldn't interrupt any time she wanted. "I know that was silly of me. I'm resolved to keep my focus. And frankly, you're a much better teacher than the man who taught my last trig class so I'm sure I'll be able to do better. So, yeah, I know I'm off to a bad start. I know it's my responsibility to keep my attention on class and not on my, well, libido and, frankly, I let both you and myself down. I hope you'll give me a second chance."

Actually, he hoped Ms. Chadra would give him any chance at all. Matt kept telling himself he wasn't a MILF perv but he was having a harder and harder time sounding convincing. Whatever Ms. Chadra was willing to give him, he would be happy to take.

Ms. Chadra nodded. "I understand, Matt. At your age, hormones are running strong for both young men and young women. But class is important. You've got to learn to keep your focus."

Matt met Ms. Chadra's eyes, then, briefly, let his gaze travel down her body. Damn, a woman as old as his mom shouldn't have a figure like that.

"I guess I'm also having a hard time relating trig to anything in my life," Matt admitted. "I hear the words but sin over tangent or whatever just doesn't--"

"It's pronounced like 'sign' not like 'sin'," Ms. Chadra said. Let's give an example. Suppose you want to know how tall a building is."

"Or how tall a girl is," Matt suggested. He knew he was pushing his luck but Ms. Chadra hadn't beaten him up about his perving.

"All right. Let's use that as an example. Suppose you wanted to know how tall I am. You could ask, but I'm not about to tell you. Now, you learned enough in class today to figure it out. I'll just stand here in the middle of the classroom and you see if you can calculate it."
