He doesn't even know himself

Harry could feel her body tense and relax at the same time. The way he said that sounded almost loving, but at the same time filled with regret.

"So, you were in love with the girl that I look like." Putting a little together as he spoke passionately about her deceased mother. Harry wondered if Professor Snape did pine for Lily.

"I was. But she made a mistake that couldn't be undone. She made a choice that lead to the **** of her and her asshole husband. I was unable to look past her. A part of me wanted to hold onto all of the memories of her. The one woman, I loved."

"That's so sad." Harry feels a bit bad for her potion master.

"It is."

The two stand in silence, neither one wanting to say anything more. Snape steps forward, his hands extended. Harry watches him warily. She had no idea what he was going to do.

"Come. You have to get out of here."

"Where?"

"I don't know, but you have to find a location where you can be unassailable. **** eaters are running afoot these alleyways. Looking for mud-bloods and victim likes. You seem like a perfect target. Especially with your nudeness."

"So, you want me to go with you?"

"Yes."

"Why should I trust you? You work for the enemy." Harry, even though she knew he was in the Order, pretends to get upset about Snape being in with the **** eaters.

"Not anymore. Not since that damn fool was killed. I was just playing a part, pretending to be on his side. All the while trying to gather information for the good. Information that can help a secret group. I'm a double agent for Dumbledore." Snape said preparing to leave with the Lily doppelganger.

"Really? That sounds a lot like a lie to me. You have always been a dark lord follower." Harry knows about past events that pertain to his background. A trial from a pensieve in Dumbledore's memories, his friendship with one Lucius Malfoy, and his nonhelping of her godfather Sirius Black a few months ago that got him killed.

"Yes, I did, but not anymore. Not since she... I mean come on. If I leave you all alone. An attacker may attempt your maidenhood." Snape felt something that he hadn't for many years.

"I still don't trust you."
