You also have a 5% chance of being allowed to try another hacking on this gadget, a 20% chance of it not succeding but also you losing your chance to hack this gadget again for 24 hours, and a 25% chance of the device alarming the police of your intention. These values increase by your level in hacking.

Wait, what? If he hacked the phone and failed, it could call the police and inform them about his hacking? He would not use this skill. The chance of failing was way to high, and the risk would not pay out. Unless... what if he mana infused it? No, not even then. It would be good to find out what a mana infused hacking would do, but if he had to do it once for that to show up in the description. He planned to let that skill become a 'dead skill' in his character sheet. Never to be used. He rather hacked something without the skill, at least it wont call the police then. Once convinced this wasn't activating anything, he focussed on the data again.

It was almost a full stick of data, consisting of chat records, send and taken pictures, her game saves and so on. First he thought it would be a lot to work through, but once all data was ordered, which had taken 20 minutes in itself, he noticed it was rather little. Then again, he was not really interested in reading her writing to her crush. So he went onto pictures. He only had to insert the SD card into his pc for that. No, not only tons, hoardings of pictures. As if this phone was in the hand of one of those hipster girls who take 20 selfies every time they use the bathroom. Just this girl never deleted a single picture. Selecting all with a quick command he got his info about the amount.

1726 pictures. And not just quick selfie style, according to the properties, those were all multiple MB pictures, almost filling out the 128gb SD card she had entirely. If he wasn't currently hacking into her phone, he would probably send her a note of some kind to teach her how to compress pictures, so they wouldn't take up this much space. Then again, they would also desize and he couldn't see as much on them as he could now. And he did need to see much. His plan was to use those pictures and recognize stuff in the background, so he could find a way to see her again.
