Chapter 128 by robyna robyna

Who did he call?

He calls April, the new girl

It wasn't the best idea. Karen had told him that girls don't like it when you're ****. And that one thing **** guys do is move too fast. If he had any brains at all, he'd let April wait a day or two, let her wonder if he was going to call her, let her wonder if he'd just been kidding or if there really was interest.

But her cute face hadn't left his imagination since she'd sat next to him while Amy was blowing him. He suspected psychologists would characterize it as a Pavlovian association--he'd flirted with April while his dick was getting sucked. And maybe it was. Still, he found himself compelled to enter that number Karen had slipped to him.

"Hello."

"Hi. It's Matt. I met you this afternoon at your dad's restaurant. I was the guy with his sister."

"Cute blond girl. About five six. Nice figure."

"Ah, that would be the sister, not me. I don't know if she's into girls but I can ask for you if you want."

April laughed. "I don't know that I'm into girls either but she was cute. I might be willing to experiment."

"Well, with that as preamble, I don't have a decent segue so I'm just going to say it. I was wondering if you'd like to get together and do something tonight?"

"Uh, can I think about it?"

"Sure. Want me to wait or call you back."

"You know, I really don't think this is a good idea. Sorry if I led you on at the restaurant. I put on a fake persona there, all nice and flirty. I'm really not that extraverted."

"Me neither. Tell you what, how about if I give you a couple of days to think about it? You can decide then."

"So, no date tonight."

"Nope. That's off the table. Sorry."

"Ha ha. You just didn't want me to shoot you down."

"Busted. You okay with me calling you again in a couple of days."

"Yeah, sure. Why the hell not. Maybe you'll get restaurant waitress April instead of videogame nerd April."

"You play videogames. Cool. Which ones?"

A five minute comparison of videogames cleared up any initial awkwardness.

"Okay, Matt. Gotta go."

"I'll talk to you soon, April."

Should he call someone else?
