"I figured that." You mumble to yourself. That was Kin in there among the puppies. The fact that you found out about this place from her backpack certainly seemed to make much more sense in this context. "Still, why was that puppy in particular? She seemed to go crazy when she saw me? And she was held in such a big enclosure."

"I'm afraid I can't answer that question." Micah insists. "You don't expect me to know each and every puppy we have here, can you? I don't work in acquisitions after all."

"That's true..." You don't believe a word of it. Kin wasn't just another puppy. She was clearly somehow special. The fact alone that you'd seen her at school made that fact obvious. Micah was hiding something from you. Just what? Why?

You consider pressing the topic further, but it likely wouldn't change a thing. For now, you'd just have to accept not knowing what was happening with Kin. Micah continues showing you different areas of the facility, such as the training rooms and the tech rooms. But, through it all, your mind remains squarely on Kin.
