Chapter 8 by nobodyspecial2324 nobodyspecial2324

What had just happened?

Hawk had cut more than she expected

As Hawk began to lift her body up above the vines, Valerie realized why he had tried to warn her. She had ignored him and asked him to use the laser without fully thinking of the consequences, and now she had **** but to accept them.

The laser had not only cut the plants and the parachute, but it had also pierced through her jumpsuit. Once Hawk had lifted her up completely, he moved a few steps and gently set her down on her feet. She was too scared to look, even though the feeling of his hands on her bare skin already confirmed her fears.

"There you go.", he said, admiring her now exposed form.

She finally opened her eyes and looked down upon her body. Aside from her shoes, the only thing she was wearing were sheer pink panties. She noticed the elastic had frayed a little, but thankfully the laser had not gone so low as to completely shred them. It was the tiniest of silver linings, but she supposed it was better than nothing.

"Hawk," she pleaded while reflexively covering her breasts, "I can't trek through the jungle like this. Can you please give me something to wear?"

His response wasn't one that she liked. "Look, I would like to help you more, but I can't. I'm already bending the rules as it is."

"B-but", she tried to say, but stopped when he moved closer and grabbed her by her waist.

"Think - if anyone sees you wearing my gear, they'll know I helped you out. You'll be immediately disqualified."

She bit her lip, knowing that he was right. Borrowing his clothes was out of the question.

He continued, "I need to leave and head to my post. You're on your own for now. Good luck." With that message, he gave her a quick kiss on her lips and disappeared into the forest, leaving her exposed and alone in the jungle.

After a moment of stunned silence, Valerie finally snapped into action. She decided to take stock of her situation before beginning the trek to her destination. She couldn't salvage much from the mess that was the vines and her destroyed clothes, but she did manage to recover her compass and water flask.

Knowing that she couldn't afford to waste any more time, she set off towards her destination.

Her trek began
