The forest around Digit roared cacophonously as all manner of things; monsters, animals, people, even the plants, struggled to survive under the blood-red moon above. Dawn had to be approaching, but it didn't seem to be coming quick enough.

The horror of it all steeled her resolve. She felt... Stronger. Smarter. Faster. Well, she felt something at least, like the forest wasn't a threat to her any longer.

Something crashed along in the woods nearby, moving past her and off into the distance. She couldn't be sure if it was Mordekai, or someone, or some monster. Whatever it was, it hadn't sensed her.
