The demon sighed. "Fine."

She snapped her fingers. Lois caught sight of a black spark. The metal shackles clamped shut around the reporter's wrists and ankles. With a back-wrenching tug, they tightened, flattening the naked reporter on the altar. The reporter wiggled, but found she had little room.

"How is this supposed to initiate me?" Lois asked.

"Well, traditionally you're supposed to confess your willingness to join the cult, and then great each member in turn, and then I would bestow my dark blessing upon you," Blaze said, as she examined her nails.
