Hang out in the dorm commons

Unfortunately, you don't run into Megan in the dorm commons, the basement under your dorm where students generally hang out. But you do encounter a lot of people and get into casual conversations with them. You learn where a lot of the people in your dorm are from, and get to know them. By the end you feel like you're making a lot of friends, if fast and casual ones.
