Chapter 30 by MightyViking MightyViking

What's next?

Handle it yourself

“I got it,” you say, stopping Athena from reaching for her phone. You stand up, suddenly self-conscious about the shibari ropes calling attention to your boobs at the moment. You felt secure and protected behind the table with the girls. Now you feel exposed as you approach Scream Girl.

It looks like she planned on playing offense, and she tenses as you walk up to her. It looks like she was up for a shouting match, but not for an actual confrontation. You aren’t big on confrontation either, but this is your only chance at avoiding a scene with security. Cons don’t hire like… experts to do this. They’re probably paying them like ten bucks an hour or something.

“What are you going to do? Stab me?” Scream Girl asks.

“No,” you say, pulling off your mask. “Do you know anything about CCL?”

“What?”

“I asked if you know anything about us,” you press, keeping your voice low and standing close to her. Already, people are back to normal around you. There’s nothing to see here. You just have to keep it that way.

“I know that the murders that you’re joking about actually happened,” Scream Girl says angrily. “This is disgusting,” she says, pointing her fake knife at the booth.

“OK, sweetheart.” You put your arm around her shoulders and steer her away, not with any real destination in mind. You just have to get her away from the others. “Listen. Nobody’s joking about any of it. I can promise you that. Do you even know where we are? Where CCL is from?”

“What?”

“What town?”

“Gurlberg,” the girl says, annoyed. She shakes free of you, but you have already gotten enough distance that if this goes bad it won’t hurt business.

“Exactly. The most old-fashioned town in Florida. The most repressed and conservative bunch of stupid White people you ever saw,” you snap, poking her in the chest several times. “Maybe you don’t know anything about CCL, but at least you know it’s for gay women. How easy do you think that is in a place like that?”

“Dude, it’s 2022,” the Scream Girl says.

“Bitch, CCL has existed for a hundred years. And it might be 2022, but the old lady at the post office literally called me a colored girl the other day. Point is, it’s really hard. It’s even harder when something terrible happens and all the girls paying dues fucking bail and there’s no money. The community already hated CCL! Now they hate it more.”

“Then why not just let it die?” the Scream Girl demands, waving her fake knife in frustration and forcing a girl cosplaying as Jean Gray to dodge.

“Because it means something. Suppose you’re a gay girl growing up in small-town Florida. There’s CCL, not so far away. You aren’t getting anywhere near it if you’re a kid, but it’s an example. It’s girls modeling behavior for you. They’re cool, they’re popular, and they aren’t afraid to be themselves. Even when everyone’s all disapproving and shit,” you explain.

The Ghostface mask does not emote. You have to guess what the girl on the other side of it is doing. It stares at you.

“So you grew up idolizing them,” she says finally.

You roll your eyes. “Yes. What I’m saying is that…”

“I get what you’re saying,” she cuts you off with a groan. “Fuck me. Wasn’t there another way?”

“I think there is. I think there are much better ways,” you assure her. “And I’m going to do everything I can to get us away from this **** stuff and moving to somewhere better, but I’m not in charge. Hell, I’m just a pledge,” you add with a laugh. “You aren’t wrong to be offended, but CCL is worth protecting. We have to do what we have to do. Ah!”

You cry out and grab her as sudden stimulation strikes between your legs. Startled, she helps you keep from falling. You clutch her as the vibe down there goes straight to max power. It’s not even pleasurable when it’s so sudden, but it’s intense, almost painful. But you remember that you can’t remove it.

“Oh fuck,” you gasp.

“Are you OK? Oh my god,” the girl says.

“I’m OK. I’m OK. Don’t let go.”

“Uhh…” she says, but she holds you as you grit your teeth. The buzzing reduces… but doesn’t stop. Sweat beading on your forehead, you stand back up. You are wobbly, but functional. Yuki… doesn’t she realize that you’re trying to help?

“What was that?” the girl asks.

“I have a vibe,” you pant, and you’re glad that you can’t see her face. “They control it. God.” You wipe sweat from your face and shudder, squirming.

“You’re not joking?”

You laugh, but it almost becomes a moan. “No,” you say quietly, looking around. You better get back.

“All right,” the girl says, sounding like she’s trying not to laugh. “I’ll leave you alone. But one thing.”

“Yes?” you ask, clenching your fists.

“So you guys really… get up to all that stuff, huh?” Scream Girl asks, sounding intrigued.

The vibe stops. They’re giving you a reprieve, only you’re all revved up now. God. You never thought you could feel like this with so many people around. You hope that none of them are paying attention… except you are the most attention-grabbing person ever. Girl Spider-Man in shibari and a CCL tee.

“Hi—hi,” you say nervously, waving at some girls who are giggling.

Scream Girl is still here. You haven’t answered her.

Mature answer?

Or flirty answer?
