Pendale High School is very big and rather confusingly laid out, at least for new students. Even long time students nearing graduation may on occasion find themselves assigned a class in a part of the building they've never really ventured through before.
It sounds as if it were a straightforward design, four main sections of the school, Northern Wing, Western Wing, Southern Wing (Slightly smaller than the others, a newer addition to the facility), and Eastern Wing, all connected through a central hub called the Median Hall. But what really makes it confusing are the smaller interconnected halls that connect the wings through other places, sometimes being complex enough to be referred to as their own separate wing (for instance, the North Western Wing, home of many of the more technical class rooms for shop class and the like)
The Northern and Eastern Wings are even further complicated by second floors, whose floor plans, while initially appearing similar to the floor below, differ in subtle and confusing ways. It's not uncommon for students to become completely lost while looking for a class on the second floor.
