Halloween Special 2: The Walls

You walk into the large living room with a mug of chocolate milk(the traditional drink of Halloween) where the majority of your harem are already seated in various costumes and dresses, talking and having a good time. There were a dozen witches of various sorts, a mummy Clover, Marinette and Katara dressed as fairies, Alex was wearing a cactus costume. Shampoo and Ranko were wearing semi-elaborate werewolf costumes with furry gauntlets and legwarmers. Gogo was dressed to look like Ahsoka while Aelita and Starfire were cute dragons. You yourself were wearing a Martian Manhunter costume; your previous costume had some unexpected damage via starbolt.

The living room was filled with orange and black balloons with cauldrons semi-filled with punch, soda, and other drinks. There were stacks of used cups and plates everywhere and empty trays formerly holding cookies and cakes. Someone had stacked hay bales here and there and sat scarecrows on top of them. Pumpkins you had spent days perfecting were thrown about; only some of them had been turned into jack o'lanterns.

“And where have you’ve been?” Diana demanded, standing by the fireplace in a set of Sister of Battle armor.

“Doing stuff,” you smirk and take a sip of your chocolate milk, gaining a chocolate mustache. Just then Laura entered the room after you in a loose Rose Wilson costume.

“I’m stuff,” Laura joked as she walked over to reclaim her seat by Marinette. You sat between your wives and cuddled as the fireplace crackled. You could see the TV over the fireplace was going to end credits from one of the Jason sequels involving the X-Men.

“Some party huh?” You asked while looking at Sabine bobbing for apples in a barrel set up in the next room. Aelita and Starfire gave you twin kisses on the cheeks, awkwardly bumping you slightly with the dragon horns on their foreheads.

“The corn maze was horrific, how did you get the Wilsons to let their ghouls stock the grounds?” Aelita asked, wiping the grin from your face.

“There were ghouls in the maze?” You asked with all seriousness. Kyoka overheard the conversation and leaned over the couch, causing the flair on her fake sword to tickle your head. She was wearing a Demon Slayer costume.

“There weren’t supposed to be?” She said as her earphone jacks twitched. You shook your head slowly, the room quieting as people started looking out the window towards the front yard where you had grown the corn maze. A ghoul with glowing yellow eyes poked their head out at that moment before smiling a toothless smile and waving at everyone then disappearing back into the corn.

You let out a laugh, startling and confusing those who. “I was joking, the Wilsons ordered too many and are letting me borrow a few before they send them back.” Only a few of your harem gave short chuckles as people went back to talking, playing games, or other activities (like your Jen Tennyson and Yumi Ishiyama kissing in a corner).

Another Halloween movie was starting and you were starting to tease Aelita and Starfire’s stomachs through their costumes when Starfire’s ears perked up and Laura turned to the east wall a moment before faint screams slowly got louder. People started moving away from that wall and getting spells, fake swords, etc. ready. You get up and position yourself in front of your wives. Suddenly, from the tiny doors in the wall, burst a tidal wave of your mini/shrunken characters.

“What the!” You shouted as the swarm of fairies, elves, tiny humans, and others streamed over your shoes and nearly tripped you and others. You quickly reached down and grabbed a panicky Mirta. “What’s going on?”

“They’re in the wall!”

A tiny Jinx from Teen Titans shouted at you from your foot, “They’re in the goddamn walls!”

Hands burst out of the wall and dragged Alex and Sam Manson through the wall before they could even let out a scream. “Get Aelita and Star out of here!” You ordered as the gathered harem burst into action, blasting at the hands while Diana helped Aelita get to her feet while Erza, Mirajane, and Ahsoka covered Aelita and Starfire. The rest of the room did their best to fend off the hands (some of which were starting to develop claws or were replaced by bear arms or zombie hands) using whatever they had at hand, mostly props and makeshift devices.

“Dammit, we need to get real weapons for whatever this is,” Gaige shouts as she bats away using a rolling pin from her zombie housewife costume. You pointed at the doorway as you got the pumpkins to sprout vines and entangle a batch of arms. “To the panic room or the armory!” You ran to the door as your harem started to move only to quickly trip. Looking back at your ankles, you see yellow gloved hands poking out of the floor holding you by the ankles. You manage to get out a quick “help” before you get pulled into the ground.

You were zipping up your costume as you looked at the mattress at the half naked form relaxing, “Dammit Shadowcat, if you wanted alone time, you just had to ask. You didn’t have to scare everyone.” The Kitty Pryde from X-Men:Evolution just gave you a catty smile before leaning back on the bed.

“I gave my trick, got a treat. Happy Halloween.” You shook your head as you went upstairs to see if your harem had taken care of the other pranksters. Reaching the ground floor, you found the party back in full swing with all the food trays refilled, drinks topped off, and your harem interacting with the very bruised neighbors, their characters, and a few public characters. You found Aelita and Starfire laughing with your neighbor Katie Wayne wearing a Harley Quinn costume. She turned to you and grinned.

“Happy Halloween Mr. G!” She shouted with the party repeating the phrase. She swung her comically large mallet at you which you easily duck under.

You find your mug of chocolate milk and wave it at her. “Happy Halloween indeed” you sip your milk and only to spit it out when a horde of ghouls and zombies bang against the windows.
