Whom do you choose to follow?
Hadvar
You make your choice and before you know it, you've both just barely made it through the heavy door to the main barracks.
"By the nines, I think we're the only ones who made it. Was that a fucking dragon? Bringer of the end times?" Not really giving you a chance to respond, he cuts you binds, seemingly more interested in talking at you, than too you. It's hard to take it personally when its obvious he's just having a freak out. Actually now that you think about it; seeing a familiar NPC go from phoned in voice line, to sounding genuinely in fear for his life was an odd experience. Not that anything about today was normal.
You're actually amazed at your own composure right now. Any other time, you'd be pissing yourself in fear but prior game knowledge and the lingering expectation that you'll "wake up" any minute now is doing a lot of the work to keep you calm.
"We should keep moving but you're not going to get very far in those burnt and torn rags. You should be able to find some gear in one of those chests next to the bunks."
Looking down at the blackend tatters that was barely covering your modesty, it was hard to disagree. Despite the raging fires outside, the air in the barracks was cold, your bare skin covered in goosebumps from the chill.
Opening the warden's box chest, you find the usual set of Imperial light armour, an iron sword, a pair of boots and the barracks key. So far, so good. Events are playing out just like the game...except...eh?
There was no shoddy in game UI to quickly do this for you. It was just you and Hadvar, but the thought of stripping down infront of a stranger gave you pause.
To strip or not to strip? That is the question.
