Hack through the thorns

"If I remember correctly, the prince in the story hacks through the thorns, which magically part before him," you say out loud.

You slowly pull out your sword and try it on the nearby thorns.

Nothing happens....

You apply a stronger ****, but your sword just bounces off.

"See what I just said about having things messed up?" Doe says.

"No, I have the wrong sword!" you reply as you head towards the skeleton of prince Phillip. You stop in your tracks when you realize that you don't see any sword on the skeleton.

"Where's Phillip's sword," you ask Doe as your eyes wander around Phillips skeletal remains.
