Gwen Decides to Confront Jolyne

Gwen gripped the web she was holding onto tightly before swinging in a half circle so that she could face Jolyne, then, using the momentum she built up, let go of the web, launching herself at the ex-con. Her spider-sense picked up that Jolyne was about to retaliate. The closer Gwen got, the louder it rang in her head. So, Gwen wouldn't let her foe get the chance to strike.

The Spider-Woman pointed her arm out and fired a volley of web-balls toward Jolyne, aiming at her eyes in an attempt to blind her. Unfortunately, the volley was easily obliterated by 「STONE FREE」. Gwen gritted her teeth before firing a web-line to the right of her and pulling herself to the side right as she got close enough for Jolyne's stand to take a swing at her; it seemed like the criminal wouldn't be falling for that trick again. As Gwen dodged, her foe attempted to readjust her swing, struggling to angle herself in a way that would allow her to redirect herself toward the superhero. Gwen took note of this; it seemed that, despite the boasting prior, Jolyne was still an amateur at swinging. The heroine smirked; she could easily outmaneuver her, even with the single web-shooter that she had. Gwen let go of her web and twisted her body as she went into freefall, firing another web and pulling herself toward Jolyne.

Jolyne, still midturn, noticed Gwen approaching her and kicked out her right leg, summoning 「STONE FREE」's leg alongside it, which released a barrage of kicks at the superhero. Gwen easily evaded the attack, letting herself drop down before firing a web-line up and attaching it to the sole of Jolyne's boot. The heroine yanked down on the web, pulling the Joestar toward her. "GET OVER HERE!" Gwen shouted in a gruff voice, mimicking a certain yellow-clad ninja from an old video game. As Jolyne was pulled down, her right hand, which she was using to swing, began to rapidly unravel, the entire limb being reduced to threads up to the middle of her forearm.

Gwen's left leg was brought back, poised to kick Jolyne when she got close enough, the limberness of her body allowing the heel of her foot to nearly touch the back of her own head. Once Jolyne got into range, Spider-Gwen swung her leg forward, aiming to strike the escapee in the stomach. Though, at the last second, Gwen diverted her foot when her Spider-Sense went off, making it so that her slipper would touch Jolyne rather than her entire foot. Instead of making contact with Jolyne's body, the foot was stopped short, with the ballet slipper on it getting torn to shreds, exposing her foot. This was different from the previous times that her foe had blocked an attack from her; there was a sponginess to her shield this time, rather than the brickwall that her "evil spirit" acted as. "You really are an idiot." The stand user mocked with a look of confidence on her face, and her body turned to the right to allow her unraveled arm to face Gwen.

Jolyne had utilized the threads from her right arm, making them act as a barrier of razor threads to protect herself. Originally, the stand user was attempting to take off the hero's foot in an attempt to impair her, though she only managed to damage her footwear instead. The barrier, having served its purpose, retracted, the blue threads returning to their original position, rebuilding Jolyne's upper forearm and right hand. "You honestly think I'd just let you catch me like that?" the black and blonde-haired woman spoke condescendingly as she summoned out her stand, which pulled both its fists back as it prepared to rush down the blonde hero.

"Yeah? Well, guess who still has your boot?!" Gwen retorted, tugging down the web attached to Jolyne's foot in an attempt to interrupt the ex-con's attack, which ended up being futile when she simply slipped her foot out of her footwear, freeing herself from Gwen's tether. The superhero's eye widened as her spider-sense screamed out to her, warning her of the barrage of punches coming her way. Taking a page out of Jolyne's book, Gwen pressed down on her web-shooter while covering it with her free hand, causing the webs to come out as a congealed mass, acting as a barrier to cushion Gwen from the attack.

"ORA! ORA! ORA! ORA! ORA! ORA! ORA!" 「STONE FREE」roared as it slammed its fists repeatedly into Spider-Gwen's web barrier, ripping it to shreds and sending Gwen crashing into the building behind her, to which she had adhered. Jolyne, still falling, quickly threw out some threads from her finger tips, which flew out, heading toward Gwen. The hero, whose spider-sense went off once more, warning them of the oncoming danger, moved her head to the side, narrowly dodging the threads as they pierced into the wall. The threads then started to slowly pull Jolyne up, ceasing her descent, and they fought against the **** of gravity. The ex-con then planted both of her feet against the side of the building, giving her better balance as she made her way up to her opponent.

Gwen looked down only for her gaze to meet Jolyne's as she tilted her head up. The two superhuman individuals locked eyes, though Gwen soon noticed something peculiar about Jolyne. The heroine narrowed her eyes as Jolyne climbed up, getting a better look at the peculiarity she noticed.
