Good but...

The water was warm and comforting as Arien slipped into it, and he wasted no time in fully submerging himself in the bath. The elf floated slowly under the water for a moment, simply appreciating being out of view for just a moment. Arien focused his mind, channeling his mana into one of the small runes he had tattooed on his left thigh, this particular one allowed him to hold his breath for around three hours, which would give him a little more time to think without being seen. Part of him was really starting to regret agreeing to Lana's proposal. He had wanted to become a real healer but he had begun to truly question what it was worth. It wasn't like he couldn't train on his own and try again with a different party, although if he did that he would have to work odd jobs to get by while he waited to be employed... Arien thought about it for a moment; he wouldn't mind living job to job that much while he trained but he didn't know if he would ever find a party this good that would take him again. There were plenty of adventuring parties recruiting, after all it paid incredibly well, the catch being that you had to live long enough to get paid. As such, adventuring parties tended to be foolhardy affairs. It was unusual to see one last five missions without someone getting seriously wounded or even killed, which is why Garn's party was such a godsend for him. Garn, after all, had a reputation for getting the job done and getting it done smoothly for the most part. From what Arien had heard, in the ten years Garn had been leading adventurers, he had lost less than five people. That was near unheard of in this business. He was so grateful to Garn for giving him a chance and he would be devastated to have missed out on working with such a renowned adventurer. As Arien thought about all this he was made aware of two familiar forms walking right towards him...
