Good Pick Up Line

"Alright, I got it. You ready?" Hunter was giddy, eager to tell his joke.

"Okay, shoot." Allison said.

"So, have you ever heard of Murphy's law?" Hunter asked.

"No, what is it?"

"Well, it states that anything that can go wrong will go wrong. But have you heard of the other law, Cole's law?"

"No, well what is that??" Allison wanted to know.

Cole's law is thinly sliced cabbage of course!"

Allison rolled her eyes and laughed loudly. "Yeah... okay you're lucky you're cute. That was actually pretty good. You actually had me going there for a second."

She got closer to him. Hunter was confused as to her intentions when she gave him a kiss on the cheek. "That's for being a man of your word, I felt like you earned it. I'd love to chat with you later." Hunter was walking on sunshine as she turned and started dancing again with the crowd.

Hunter watched as she danced away from him. "Nobody ever expects the coleslaw joke." He thought smugly. Feeling confident, he figured it was time to talk to another girl on the dance floor.
