Good Luck

Spencer followed Evelyn to the bedroom, where he made sure to send a text to Amy that he most likely wouldn't be back until the afternoon. With the message sent, Spencer turned his attention back to Evelyn, kissing her forehead before saying "Night Evie."

"Night Spencer."

It was about 11 o'clock when Evelyn woke up. She smiled at Spencer, the man who'd woken up in the middle of the night to come to help her out, and didn't protest once, not even through her bickering. She knew without him, she'd be spending her day off being angry about her bad luck, but right now, she decided to focus on her good luck she'd had dating Spencer.

"Hey." She whispered.

"Hey Evie."

"Have a good sleep?"

"Yeah."

"Thanks for last night Spence. I really needed it."

"Not a problem. So do you want to sort out a new car today?"

Evelyn shook her head. "I'll call Clay about it, but apart from that I just wanna have an awesome day with my boyfriend."

"Sounds perfect to me."

The two shared a kiss. "I better make that phone call."

"Right."

As Evelyn called Clay, Spencer took a shower where he wondered how to help Evelyn out with replacing her car. He knew that buying a car twice as nice as hers wouldn't be a problem with his bank account, but he was certain Evelyn wouldn't exactly be comfortable with such a gift. Once he finished washing up, he got dressed and headed into the kitchen, where Evelyn hung up her phone.

"So all good?" He asked.

"Yeah all taken care off. Just gotta text my Sergeant about getting a lift to work."

"Right."

"And that just leaves getting to my security job."

"If you want you can borrow my car?"

"You sure?"

"Not a problem."

"Jeez, it's only been two weeks but I'm starting to wonder what I'd do without you."

Spencer flashed a smile. "You wanna drive it today and get a feel for it?"

"Sounds great."

As the two ate, Evelyn tried to contain her devious thoughts of where she planned to drive Spencer.
