Good Idea/Bad Idea

The thought occured that this was possibly his only chance to use this power. The power to make his words come true.

Buffy and Giles were certain to try and take that power away from him. Which was probably a good thing. He'd said some truly stupid shit over the years. Xander knew he would hate it if he accidentally caused the apocalypse to happen.

And yet....

The power to make anything happen.

He'd made a bunch of money appear from nowhere. Something like half a million bucks. Just by saying an idle thought that came across his mind.

How could he not try and take advantage of that? At least a little bit. Just a smidge. Just enough to make his situation better.

Off the top of his head he could think of several really good ideas. Most were benign ideas and couldn't possibly lead to disaster.

He could also think of several really bad ideas. Down right evil ideas, reprehensible and wrong. Things no sane man would even attempt.

Of course he could do nothing. Keep his mouth shut. Wait. Let Buffy and Giles take the power away.

And miss this golden opportunity.
