Going into town with Millie

I stand in the shower for a while, hoping that somehow the warm water will wash away my embarrassment, but the longer I stand there for the worse I realise that I feel, so eventually I turn the taps off, dry myself of with a towel and then get dressed.

I can hear Millie in her bedroom across the hall, getting dressed still, so I stay in my room even though I am ready until there is a pretty loud knock on my door, and Millie opens it, peeking in and saying:

"Matt, are you ready?"

I smile a weak smile at her and get up, following her out to the car. We aren't making conversation at all, I am just following Millie, but then I work up the courage to finally ask her:

"We going anywhere nice?"

Millie smiles mysteriously to herself as she climbs in the car, saying:

"You will like it."
