Goes out in her new outfit

Lauren steeled herself. As a 40 year old woman, Lauren had a great deal of confidence. But, wearing this immature outfit, her old hangups and insecurities came rushing back. Trying to ignore the feeling, Lauren took a deep breath. Then she threw open the bathroom door and marched out, trying to use her anger at her daughter to hide her nerves.

"Megan!" Lauren barked. "You're in so much trouble!"

Lauren stomped downstairs. She looked around. She didn't see anyone in the kitchen. She moved over to the living room, but her mischievous daughter wasn't there either.
