Go with the caravan.

I decide myself for the caravan. It will take longer but it will cost me less. Hell there may be even occasion to make some money on the way.

I go talk to the pharisi and try to negotiate going with them.

"Running away aren't you? " says Aunt Greta, the old matriarch leading the caravan.

"Nothing of the sort, madam. I'm on a study trip to the skywall mountains. I will write my thesis on the incredible species of mushrooms growing in caves there. My finances are limited and I wished to know if I could travel with you. I can help defend the caravan and provide magical assistance if required during the trip. " I reply, trying my best to sound like an honest, boring student.

"Killed someone? No... Fucked someone? Not quite.. Stole something maybe? Yeah that's that. No... You did but it's something else. That big fellow behind you right? So you want to hide in our caravan while you flee the capital and do it for free. " she guesses, I see too late the amulet of Oord God of time around her neck. She's a seer, seing past and future.

"You got me, but I didn't do anything that wrong to deserve all this. I thought you would understand. What will it take for you to accept to take me in on this trip? " I ask her.

"In Ravensburg there is a man that stole from us, I'm sure someone as resourceful as you are can help us. If you swear to help us and I'll know if you're honest, then you can join us." she proposes.

"Do you count on me to convince the man to give you your goods back or are we talking of something a bit more radical? " I ask her.

"We want what was stolen and reparations for the slight made to us. The ways you achieve this will be yours to choose." she explains

I can't fool a seer, if I take her offer I'll be bound to it. Even fleeing wouldn't be an option because she'll know I'll do it as soon as I decide to do it.
