Go where the gate was leading

Marle turned to Lucca, concerned.

Marle: Where did that gate end up?

Lucca: Well, my tests took a while, but it looks like...hmm, that's weird.

Marle: What?

Lucca: There's no year indicated. It's just...a zero.

Marle: A zero? What does that mean?

Lucca: That it was either leading to the beginning of time or the end.

Marle: I thought the end of time was one of those side-ways eights.

Lucca: That's for the end of time as we know it. If it's not the beginning of time, it's the absolute end of existance.

Crono shuddered at the thoughts of everything ceacing to exist, and of his mother trapped there in void. He set Epoch to 0, and went forward...or backward...in time. The blue and black tunnel opened beform them and they charged into it.

Marle: WHOO-HOO!! I love this part!

Lucca: I'll never get used to this as long as I live....

The tunnel suddenly changed from blue and black to all the colors there were, some of which the party's human eyes couldn't detect.

Marle: What's happening? Crono, i'm getting worried.

A wall of pitch-black slammed into Epoch...
