Chapter 2 by mrxj11 mrxj11

What do you want to do now?

Go upstairs and use the ToolBench Software.

"I'll be going upstairs, thank you," you said to your mom, although you noticed a growing tent in your pants.

"Sure you don't want me to help you with that?" she said.

"Sure."

You walk to your room, feeling a bit turned on as well as spooked. How could this be happening? Would you ever return to Earth?

You turn on the ToolBench software. It looks like a normal Mac program, with a file menu at the top and a bunch of options. You click "View/Edit Current Programming."

The screen asks you what you would like to view/edit, and you select "Global/Laws and Directives." You know enough about sci-fi to figure out what that means.

On the screen, you see the following:

LAWS

  1. You may not harm your human master, Matthew.
  2. You must please Matthew as much as possible without interfering with Asimov's Laws of Robotics or the Ten Robot Laws.
  3. Arousal levels will always stay at a minimum of 4, and at a maximum of 10.

    DIRECTIVES:
    <not specified, specific to model>

    You decide to edit a specific robot's programming. Who will you choose to edit?

Who should you edit?
