I walk into work with a new confidence. Where I would normally go to my small, cramped office, I waltz into my boss’s office, where he’s having a meeting. I’ve been waiting to be recognised for my talent for years but because I’m a woman he barely acknowledges me unless he’s staring at my tits. He only hired me because his board of directors made him have more diversity. Both men in the room look up at me confused.
“I run this company now. You now work in my old cramped office doing my job and I am now the owner.” My boss seems momentarily confused before standing up. “Of course. I’ll pack up my stuff and move right away.”
IT WORKED!
“Great. Make sure to move all my stuff into here and give me all the details I need to know.” He nods and leaves. “This meeting is rescheduled, leave please.” I say to the other man and he merely nods and leaves the room. I sit on my old boss’s comfy chair and grin. Finally, this is what I deserve.
