Go to the Statue

It did not take her more than a second to head towards the statue, only a fool would go into that cave.

Walking up to the statue, its imposing stone hid behind the greenery, Leona began to hack away at it with her machete.

Soon , the vines fell away to reveal the most exciting discovery in her life.

It was unmistakable.

Just how she imagined it.

The mouth affixed in a roar, its teeth around a large gemstone. It was the emblem of the Jaguar Queen.

She was on the right path. Quickly she began to remove more of the vines.

“Oh My god!” She exclaimed.

It was an arrow plain as day, pointing to the right. Her heart raced was that the way to the temple? It had to be there could be no other explanation for it.

Deeper and deeper she went until the jungle had one final surprise for her!

A stone temple, even overtaken by the jungle it still cut an imposing and dominant visage.

Massive statues flanked the doorway,

Intricate detailed carvings adorned the walls of the temple, however it was clear that it was very much deserted.

Legend said that the Jaguar Queen was a sorceress with powers over the mind. That her powers were sought after by the Spanish invaders. When they found her temple she fought them off but ultimately sealed herself away in the centre of the temple with her loyal jaguars and her treasures. Never to be seen or heard from again.

Now here Leona was standing in the temple, the large statue looming down above her.

Where should she go now? She actually had no idea where she should look.

She really did not expect to find the temple.

Leoana walked into the courtyard. She could see two door ways to go though. The first one looked to be the safest route but she had not come all this way to be safe. The second one on her left looked dangerous; it was darker and had an odd smell coming out of it.
