Go to the Mall and Buy New Clothes For Our Current Selves

"...let's go change our outfits. After all, you'll have to dress as a woman. But neither of our clothes will fit the other right now, so we'll need to buy some. So let's get ready to go." Mom said as she stood up and calmly walked away. As she went up to her room though, I saw the start of a big smile on her face.

I got up from the table too, and walked up to my current bedroom.

When I opened the door, I saw everything I was giving up by doing this swap. The Lego sets that Mom had poured thousands of her hard earned dollars into, my expansive movie collection, and all of my drawing equipment. But, I couldn't care less about those things now, I'd have to lose them regardless if I did the swap or not to help make ends meet, so this was a nice alternative for my stuff being in the house still, just not my belongings.

I then walked over to my closet and opened it, showing my plethora of shirts. I had plain shirts for work, and shirts with some of my favorite movies printed onto them for when I was at school or home.

But, I wasn't in my closet for those, I was there for my tan sleeveless jacket. Once I found it, I pulled it off of its hanger and put it on over my black long-sleeved shirt.

I then slipped on my brown tennis shoes and walked downstairs to find Mom wearing a black cardigan over her bodysuit and skinny jeans. When she heard me she looked up and said, "You ready to go honey?"

"Yep. So, where are we going to go?" I asked as I made to the bottom of the stairs.

As we walked into the garage, she said, "I thought we could go to the mall, they sell pretty much everything you could ever want to wear there."

I walked over to the car and opened the passenger door, and climbed in. Mom walked around the front and got in the driver's seat before starting the car and opening the garage door with a little fob attached to the sun blind.

As the door opened all the way, Mom backed the car into the street and she turned the wheel to the left and off we went to the mall, a car ride I paid attention to as if they sold any type of clothing, I would want to go by myself after the swap to get some new clothes.

When we got to the mall, Mom and I got out of the car, and I was shocked to see that this mall was built only a few years ago. Especially due to our modern day of Amazon shipping.

As we walked to the front door, I noticed that despite being the middle of the day, there was hardly anyone at the mall, supporting my questions of why a shopping mall was built 7 years ago in 2015.

Once we opened the door, we found ourselves in the food court of the mall, including such options like McDonalds and a bunch of random places no one's ever heard of before.

Mom then said for me to follow her, and we walked through the near-empty mall for a minute before coming to the front entrance of a store called Every Piece of Clothing Under the Sun.

Mom grabbed my hand and dragged me in to the women's section of the store and told me to pick out some outfits for myself while she went to go find some cute panties and bras for me to wear.

Once she had walked off, I browsed through the clothing options and found some options I kind of liked.

One was a silky pink kimono with red and white flower print on it. It was a few sizes bigger than it should be as I wanted to be able to wear something this nice feeling when I was a woman.

A second one was an outfit comprised of a white labcoat, black turtleneck, and green yoga pants, and it reminded me of a certain someone, couldn't place my finger on it though.

And the third favorite outfit was low-rise skinny jeans and a bright red crop top, sort-of reminiscent of Mom's current outfit.

The fourth favorite outfit I grabbed was a black v-neck shirt meant to show cleavage, a purple pencil skirt, and a green jacket.

After I grabbed those four outfits, that's when Mom came back and found me with her arms full of bras and panties.

"Here you go honey, do you want to try these on first?"

"We don't have to Mom, I trust your choices. Let's check out and then go get you your clothes." I said.

"Alright sweetheart! And we don't even need to leave to go get my clothes, so it'll just take a few minutes!"

When we got to the checkout counter, the woman looked at the sizes of clothes and then to Mom and asked, "Ma'am, aren't these clothes a bit small for you?"

"Oh, they're not for me, they're for my son's girlfriend. Her birthday's next week." Mom said without missing a beat, not wanting to let the secret of the swap out unless I wanted to, so we could both avoid embarrassment.

The cashier raised one eyebrow in suspicion but shrugged her shoulders before scanning everything anyways.

After she scanned everything she said, "Alright, that brings your total to $2,673.21. Your girlfriend must be a very lucky girl, young man. And your husband is very lucky too ma'am." The cashier said.

I looked at Mom and said, "Mom, that's too much, I can't ask you to pay for these."

She shook her head and said, "But why, you know my new job pays very well. We can afford to splurge a bit on money, even if it doesn't start for a few weeks."

She handed the cashier her debit card, and I was scared it would decline, but to my shock and relief, it was accepted.

After a minute of standing, the cashier handed Mom her card back and put all of the clothes into big plastic bags.

I then took the ones with my outfits and Mom grabbed the ones with her new outfits in them.

When we got to the car, Mom asked me, "So (Y/N), which outfit are you trying first when we get home?"
