What's next?
Go to lunch with Sarah and her friends
You walk to the cafeteria alongside Sarah, Paula, Ash, Samantha and Angie, trying to make sure you don't look too hungover so the teachers don't get any wind that you were one of the kids drinking last night. When you reach the cafeteria, you realize there's no need in the slightest. Many, many other students are pale-faced, slumped in their seats and staring down at their food. Every few minutes, people rush to the bathroom to vomit up what little food they've eaten. Feeling a bit better in comparison, you follow the girls over to the counter, buying yourself a fatty, greasy bacon sandwich with heaps of melted cheese.
"Ugh, this looks disgusting," Samantha complains.
"You ordered it," Paula points out.
"Nah, I NEED something greasy," Ash says. "Eat up, Sarah, it'll be good for you."
"Yeah, yeah, I get it," Sarah responds.
You find your seats, and you eagerly begin tearing into your food as the others chat.
"Well, last night was fun, wasn't it?" Angie asks. "I was off my head the whole time, but it seemed cool."
"I had a good time. The guys were especially randy, weren't they?" Paula asks.
"Too much competition to deal with those assholes. With bitches like Saoirse taking half the boys through putting on a dozen layers of make-up, it's not worth the effort," Angie says.
"Yeah, it wasn't worth the effort to try get with one of those airhead guys," Ash nods.
You pause mid-bite, wondering if they remember you're sitting here, literally right next to them.
"Uh... I'm still here," you point out.
"Oh, you're cool, Jack," Angie says. "You're an exception to the rule."
"Speaking of you being here, Jack, do you want to come out to town with us?" Sarah asks you. "Seeing as you're an exception to the rule. We're going to go hang out for a bit, take advantage of the day off."
"Sure," you say, as the group finishes their meals. "Are we heading now?"
"Yeah. No use staying around here, it smells of vomit and depression," Samantha says, scrunching her nose.
"Cool, let's get going," Angie says, as the group rises.
So far, your stay in the school has been pretty terrific. You really have to thank your parents for sending you here some day. The food's average, the teachers aren't the nicest, the schoolwork is hard, but dammit, none of that matters, because the odds are really in your favor here.
