What's next?
Go stoke the fire
You slide out from behind the front desk, picking up the wrought-iron poker rested beside the stone hearth.
As you crouch down to open the screen, the intense heat of the embers washes over your face. You carefully shift the glowing logs, lifting a fresh, thick split of oak from the bin and laying it onto the flames. The dry wood catches quickly, crackling loud in the silent room as fresh orange light fills the hearth.
Setting the iron poker back into its stand, you turn back toward the couch.
Lily is resting on her side, but her book has lowered onto her chest. From this standing angle, the wide, unbuttoned collar of her pink-and-white striped silk top falls completely open. The loose fabric drapes toward the cushion, offering an unobstructed, mesmerizing view straight down into her deep cleavage. Her high, firm C-cups spill forward against the silk, soft and pale in the warm firelight, completely unsupported and fully revealed to you in the quiet space.
Your eyes lock onto her chest for a long, transfixed beat. You feel a shifting in your pants. The crackle of the freshly added log echoes softly between you.
When you finally break the trance and raise your gaze to her face, you discover she isn’t looking at her book at all.
Lily is staring directly at you.
Yet, her eyes aren’t on your face. They are fixed lower, tracking down the front of your dark trousers. In the dim, amber glow of the room, her gaze rests squarely on the prominent, unmistakable outline that has formed against your fabric.
She doesn’t pull her shirt closed. She doesn’t shift away or avert her eyes. Instead, a slow, knowing smirk curls the corner of her lips, her breathing steady as she deliberately lets her eyes linger on your swell before slowly raising her dark gaze back up to meet yours.
The fire roars softly beside you, the rain continuing its relentless rhythm against the tin roof outside.
You step away from the fire and close the distance to the leather sofa.
Lily’s eyes follow your movement, tracking your approach with an easy, unhurried calm. She remains lying on her side, the loose pink-and-white striped silk of her shirt remaining parted, exposing the pale, full curves of her chest spilling against the cushions. She makes no move to pull the fabric closed or adjust the small silk shorts riding high up her thighs.
You reach down toward the low coffee table, your hand wrapping around the stem of her empty glass.
“Let me get you a refill,” you say, your voice low and steady despite the visual proximity.
As you lean down, your movement brings your body just inches from where she rests. From this angle, her gaze drops once more, lingering deliberately on the tense, heavy swell straining against the front of your dark trousers. A quiet, knowing breath slips past her lips.
Rather than pulling back, Lily shifts slightly, her bare knee brushing lightly against the fabric of your pant leg as you lift the glass. She looks back up into your eyes, her dark gaze wide and unblinking in the amber light of the hearth.
“You’re very attentive, Mark,” she murmurs, her voice dropping into a soft, intimate tone that barely carries over the crackle of the wood stove and the steady roar of the rain outside. “I really appreciate a host who takes such good care of his guests.”
She doesn’t move her leg away, leaving the warmth of her skin pressed subtly against your shin as she waits for you to move.
