Despite her great urgency, Mai wasn't going to wait in such a long line. In addition, she knew that her burden was huge and possibly very stinking and the last thing she wanted was for the other girls to know what she was doing. And I didn't know how long I would have to wait there.

Mai hurried out of school and as she walked quickly, she thought about if there was somewhere she could go before she got home.

There was a mini market a few blocks away, and she knew there was a bathroom there. There was also a park with a public toilet, although this one was a bit further away than the mini market, and there would probably be people wanting to use it. And finally there was the library, which was farther away than the other two, but closer than home.
