Go home

Unambitious, Nate had nowhere else to go but home. He gathered his belongings and hurried to catch his bus, which was as noisy as usual. He arrived home and opened the door. He heard his mother in the kitchen.

"Hi Nate, how was your day?"

"It was alright."

"Nothing exciting?"

"Nothing more than the usual."

"Do you have homework?"

"Of course."

"Well dinner will be ready in a few hours."

"Thanks." He said, and then walked upstairs to his room. On the way he passed by his sister's room. The door was closed and music was playing. He followed her example, going into his room and closing and locking the door, tuning out for a while.

After a few hours he heard a knock on his door. It was his mother. Through the door she told him it was dinner time and he said he would be down in a bit. After resting, he was ready for another bout.
