You glanced at the ring on my mother's slim finger and leaned in closer.

You noticed some sort of... gap between the gem and the ring itself. Like part of it was slightly raised. It must've been able to turn.

Without much caring for the strange position you left her in, too distracted by your own curiousity, you twisted the ring with her left hand, unsure of what the result would be.

You opened your eyes once more, glancing up at the ceiling. I took you another moment to realize the change in sensations happening once again. "Don't worry about it, Mother. You're totally fine. Do you mind letting me go back to sleep, though. I've got a lot going on lately with my job search and trying to pick a major. It's nice to know you care so much, though."

She got red in the face and hugged you once more before you let her go and she left the room. You were left with some pretty shocking revelations about this Amazon purchase. These rings could possess people, and could even have the host treat the actions of the controller as their own.
