Rose begins to hunt the old Durmstrang headmaster down. She thought back fondly about her days as a tri-wizard tournament champion. She remembers how hard Karkaroff fought for Victor Krum to win for their school. Taking away points for performing better than the world's most famous seeker. The only bad thing that happen, was the tragic events that took place after she and Cedric took the cup together. The rise of he who must not be named and the following year of being told she was a liar.

Rose removes all of those thoughts from her head as she begins to search for Karkaroff. She take in the older houses as she knew they had been standing for countless years. She then went into the pub. Five people meet her eyes. A couple sharing a cup of mead together. The bar keeps wiping down a dirt-colored mug. A pale fragile woman with her head laying on a table with a glass of mead spilling across her face. A man in black cloaks of shadows in the back. His head hides in the blackness not wanting his face to be shown. And an elderly man with not much hair sitting a top of his head. He walks over to the barkeep probably spending his coin on excess adult beverages.

Rose took in every appearance. Like her, one of these people could be Karkaroff using polyjuice potion to conceal himself. She immediately thinks to write off the struggling love birds couple. But held reservations about them. The man in the back trying to look like a J RR Tolkien character. She puts him at the top of her list. The old man and the bar keep still in talks as she didn't see anything unusual about them. Rose looks at the sleeping hungover woman. She wonders if Karkaroff did the same, and became a woman to evade Voldemort.

Rose decides to question a few people until she comes up with the right person to hand over to he who must not be named. She had to decide who she wants to speak with first.
