Michelle turned back around and found Alexa still standing where she had left her. “Come on, Lexi. Let’s go,” Michelle said taking the trash bags from her and putting them into the cart.

Alexa blushed as she followed Michelle while she pushed the cart. “S-so how come you’re here?” Alexa asked.

“Just doing some shopping. I finally moved into that new apartment I told you about,” Michelle said. “The US Grant Apartment complex.”

“Wait… what?” Alexa said. “That’s the one I’m in. Are you the new neighbor?”

Michelle grinned. “I guess I am,” she said. “So I’m guessing you’re going to need some more diapers.”

Alexa blushed. “Well… yeah.”

Michelle smirked as she pushed the cart down the diaper aisle and glanced at a package. “Oh how about these ones.”

Alexa mumbled. “Fine whatever, just put them in the cart. I don’t want to be seen shopping for diapers.”

Michelle giggled. “There’s nothing to worry about. I’ve got your back.”

Alexa nodded. “Thanks… for not making a scene about it.”

Michelle nodded as she added a second package of the youth diapers, hoping Alexa wouldn’t notice the bigger size and ask about them. Michelle then pushed the cart along and said. “So… what else do you need besides diapers and trash bags?”

“I wouldn’t mind getting some yogurt or something,” Alexa said.

“Oh how about some baby food,” Michelle said as she turned down the baby supplies aisle.

“Milly!” Alexa cried.

“Look, Lex. They have a pear flavor,” Michelle said as she waved around the jar of baby food. “We can try it together. Let’s get a few jars and we can figure out our favorites.”

“Milly…” Alexa blushed. “Come on, don’t be ridiculous.”

“I’m not. There’s nothing wrong with buying some baby food. We can use the self checkout if you’re so paranoid,” Michelle said. “Oh my goodness! They have some stuffed animals! Look at it. It’s a unicorn.”

“Michelle Anna West! Don’t you dare put that in the cart!” Alexa scolded.

“Oh someone’s getting real bossy now,” Michelle said scowling at the use of her full name. “Fine you big baby, I won’t get you Sparkles the Unicorn. But I’m getting myself a stuffed hippo. He’s cute. I’ll name him Lex.”

Alexa blushed. “Are you calling me a hippo?”

Michelle laughed. “Hmm maybe I should get the mouse instead. He’s more accurate.”

Alexa shoved Michelle playfully as she rolled her eyes. “Yeah well maybe I should get a giraffe and name him Shelly!”

Michelle grinned. “Deal.”

She grabbed a stuffed purple giraffe and put them in the cart along with a stuffed mouse. Alexa just gawked not believing how Michelle had totally played her.

Michelle nibbled her lip wondering if she should try to push it further and get more baby items or just stick with what she had already.
