What's next?
Go Look For Ms. Kitty Alone.
"Butch, get the girls inside. I'll go find Miss Kitty. She couldn't have gone far," I declared, glancing at Butch to ensure he understood the urgency.
Nodding with concern, Butch acknowledged my words. "Be careful out there, Flint. The storm's getting closer."
With determination, I mounted my horse, feeling the storm breathing down my neck. The light rain pattered against my hat as I rode off into the woods, searching for Miss Kitty, hoping to find her safe and unharmed.
My heart raced as a blood-curdling scream pierced through the woods and heard the shot of Miss Kitty's Deringer. Without hesitation, I kicked my horse into a gallop, desperately riding toward the source of the chilling cry. My mind filled with worry for Miss Kitty, fearing the worst.
As I approached the scene, my eyes widened in shock as I saw Miss Kitty with her back against a tree fending off a pack of menacing wolves. With both hands gripping her parasol like a sword she swung it at the snarling beasts against their relentless attack as they circled her.
I drew my gun and tightened on my guns, but I knew that taking a shot from a distance would only put Miss Kitty in further danger. I charged into the fray as one of the wolves bit her dress and pulled at it visciously tearing at the fabric as she fell into the dirt. I fired into the air as gunshots rang through the trees, attempting to startle the relentless predators. One of the wolves, undeterred, lunged toward Miss Kitty as she threw her parasol up to block the beast, tearing at her dress with its sharp teeth.
I aimed my pistol carefully and fired, hitting the wolf that refused to back down. The creature yelped and fell to the ground off of her. The rest of the pack ran into the woods as I fired after them trying to take one more down as well to deter them from coming back and dwindle their numbers.
I dismounted my horse and approached Miss Kitty, my eyes filled with concern for her well-being. "Are you alright, Miss Kitty?" I asked, my voice laced with concern as I rode up beside her. Raindrops pelted down on my hat. Miss Kitty, her breast heaving in her bodice and her eyes wide with adrenaline turned towards me. Her hands trembled as she held the parasol in her hands and looked around for more danger as she stood up. My gaze softened as I saw her vulnerability. Without hesitation, I pulled off my duster from my and draped it around her, shielding her from the cold rain. She leaned into the shelter of the arms, seeking solace and warmth. We stayed there for a few seconds under the tree as I held her close.
"You are okay." I smiled kissing her cheek and rubbing her back.
"I have never been more scared." She shook her head.
I nodded understandingly. "But you're safe now. We should get you back to camp." I climbed up onto the horse and helped pull her up as she sat side saddle nestled against me.
A faint smile played on Miss Kitty's lips as she leaned in close against me, gratitude shining in her eyes as she leaned back into my arms as I held her close making my way back through the brush. "Thank you, Flint. I don't think I'll ever forget this."
As the rain poured down relentlessly, Miss Kitty and I rode together through the muddy wilderness as the rain picked up. Hooves splashing through puddles and the horse's breath steaming in the cold air. I held onto her tightly, ensuring she felt secure against me. "Almost there, Miss Kitty," I called out, my voice barely audible over the rain. "Just a little longer,"
Through the sheets of rain, I spotted two figures emerging from the stormy darkness. It was Sam, the trail leader, and his cowgirl daughter, Cassidy, both with rifles at the ready. They had no doubt heard my gunshots cutting through the thunderstorm that was rolling in as they were illuminated momentarily by lightning.
"Flint! Miss Kitty! Are you both alright?" Sam's voice cut through the storm as he rode up.
"We ran into some wolves but she is fine," I yelled back over the rain.
"Looks like you both quit the scare." Cassidy's eyes widened as she took in the torn fabric of Miss Kitty's dress, evidence of the struggle she had faced.
"We should get her back," I said. With Sam and Cassidy now by our side, their presence provided an added sense of security. Miss Kitty leaned on me for support, her steps still unsteady.
Together, the four of us made our way through the pouring rain. As we reached the camp I dismounted my horse and helped Miss Kitty down. Sam rode off to the other cowboys who had armed themselves but stayed with the camp while Cassidy rode to see the other settlers and assure them everything was okay. We headed inside Miss Kitty's tent where Madame Juliette sat with Mamie Mae holding her hands as they were waiting for our return. The French Madame quickly rose from her seat and rushed over, wrapping her arms tightly around Miss Kitty, her worry evident in her embrace.
"Oh, mon chéri, we were so worried," Madame Juliette murmured, her voice filled with genuine concern.
Mamie Mae joined in the embrace, her eyes glistening with tears. "Lord have mercy, child! What happened out there?"
Miss Kitty took a deep breath, her voice trembling as she recounted the harrowing experience. "I got lost when I went to take a piss and found myself surrounded by a pack of wolves. They... they attacked me, but Flint came to my rescue."
Madame Juliette gasped, her hands flying to her chest. "Wolves? Mon Dieu! Ma petite?" Madame Juliette's eyes widened in astonishment. "Flint, mon ami, you risked your life for her. We are forever in your debt." The Madame said as she gave me a kiss of appreciation. "My heavens you are soaked, Monsieur."
"I gave Miss Kitty my duster." I shrugged and looked at her. While she wasn't exactly dry she wasn't as soaked as I was.
"Well let's get you both out of these wet clothes Monsieur Flint before you two catch a cold. Mamie grab some blankets for them to wrap themselves in."
"Of course, Madame Juliette. I'll fetch the blankets right away," Mamie responded to Madame Juliette's request with a cheerful affirmation. Mamie made her way swiftly to a chest located at the corner of the tent where the blankets were kept.
I began to unbutton my wet shirt, feeling the damp fabric cling to my skin. As I removed my shirt my fingers trembled slightly from the cold, I couldn't help but appreciate the simple pleasure of shedding the weight of the soaked garment and feeling the cool air against my bare chest.
Juliette delicately began to undress Miss Kitty, unfastening buttons and loosening the soaked fabric. Out of respect for her modesty, I turned my gaze away, allowing them their privacy. As I stood there, shivering from the cold, Mamie reappeared with a bundle of blankets in her arms. She approached me with a warm smile, understanding the chill that had settled deep within my bones. Her touch eased the trembling of my fingers as she began to help me pull off my shirt.
As Mamie helped me shed my sodden attire, her gaze lingered appreciatively on my figure. "Well, well, Flint," she said with a mischievous grin, her voice filled with playful admiration. "Seems like you've been hiding quite the rugged physique under those clothes." Her flirtatious comment made me chuckle.
As Mamie helped me remove my wet pants she let out a smile as she took in my nude body. I caught the sight of movement out of the corner of my eye and saw Miss Kitty's gaze fixed upon me. Her eyes traced the contours of my body, appreciating the ruggedness that defined me. Her eyes lingered upon my naked body. It was a wordless exchange, a connection forged through her silent observation.
My eyes were drawn to Miss Kitty, her delicate form glistening with raindrops. Her body, partially revealed as she covered her shivering body, evoked a sense of vulnerability and a yearning for warmth and shelter. I couldn't help but admire the way her curves accentuated her natural beauty, the way her hair clung to her damp skin. It was a fleeting moment of appreciation, an unspoken recognition of her need for comfort amidst the cold surroundings.
Mamie swiftly draped a blanket over my shoulders, her warm and voluptuous figure pressing against me for added warmth. With nimble fingers, she began to pat me dry, her touch soothing against my damp skin. As she worked, the closeness between us grew, our bodies fitting together in an intimate embrace. I could feel her curves against me, the gentle pressure providing comfort and a shield against the cold. "Let's get you dry and warm, Flint," she said, her voice laced with a playful tone.
As Miss Kitty and I exchanged stolen glances, a mixture of curiosity and desire hung in the air between us. Juliette, ever observant, noticed our silent connection and broke the tension with a suggestion. "Why don't we climb onto the bedroll and get cozy under the blankets?" she proposed, a mischievous smile playing on her lips.
Mamie, understanding the unspoken invitation, excused herself, braving the rain as she headed to her own tent. Left alone, Miss Kitty and I nestled together on the bedroll, seeking warmth and comfort in each other's presence. The anticipation was palpable as we removed our wet clothes, letting them fall to the side.
Juliette, shedding her own garments, joined us on the bedroll, facing Miss Kitty. With a playful glint in her eyes, she remarked, "Well, isn't this a cozy little arrangement? Mind if I join in?" Her words were filled with a sense of adventure, an invitation for further exploration.
I positioned myself behind Miss Kitty, my arms encircling her, providing a protective embrace. As our bodies pressed against each other, I could feel the electricity between us, an unspoken understanding of the desires that simmered beneath the surface. The soft touch of Juliette's skin against Miss Kitty's added an extra layer of intimacy, heightening the sensation of connection.
In this intimate space, words seemed unnecessary. Our bodies spoke a language of their own as we reveled in the heat and closeness we shared. The storm outside unleashed its fury, with thunderous roars and flashes of lightning that filled the air with electrifying energy.
As the storm raged on, I felt Miss Kitty shiver against the cold. Instinctively, I pulled her close, wrapping my arms around her to provide warmth and comfort. Madame Juliette, sensing her need, softly caressed Miss Kitty's cheek before leaning in to kiss her tenderly and letting her hands caress Miss Kitty's body.
The gentle kisses soon gave way to a passionate exchange between them as they were both grateful nothing bad had happened. Their lips danced with desire, fueled by the intensity of the moment and the electrifying atmosphere surrounding us. I watched, captivated by the raw beauty of their connection.
Juliette's mischievous gaze flickered towards me, a playful smile curving her lips. "Oh sorry Monsieur Flint, do you feel left out," she teased, her voice laced with an invitation.
Miss Kitty glanced back over her shoulder at me and met my gaze. "Do you want a kiss, Flint?" she whispered. Softly as she looked at me.
