Go Hang out With Dick

Barbara Texted Dick,

'On my way'

She then texted Alysia,

'I'll call you later'

She was about to pocket her phone when she remembered to text her father,

'Thnx, Be careful, gonna hang with Dick'

The door to Wayne manor swung open in a slow, elegant, measured arc, Alfred Pennyworth stood just inside the door,

"Miss Gordon, I hope you're doing well?" He asked, Alfred was a tall, thin man with sharp shoulders that were surprisingly muscular for his age, he had silver hair slicked back neatly, his eyes constantly roamed, alert behind thin, silver-rimmed glasses, nobody really knew much about Alfreds previous life outside of piecing together that he had been a spy for some top secret british agency in the cold war, though Barbara was sure this was just the information he wanted people to know.

"I am, and how are you?" Barbara asked stepping into the grand entrance hall of the manor, the black and white tiled floor reflected the light from the chandelier above, every painting, bust, and ornately formed detail meant to draw the eye and stupify any guest entering, and Barbara found that it worked everytime, her eyes drawn to some new detail that had eluded her on every previous visit,

"I'm doing quite well, I suppose you're here to see Master Richard?" Alfred asked, his voice somehow the perfect mix of gruff and weathered, and soft and polished,

"Yes, he invited me" Barbara answered, Alfred smiled, his thin mustache raising at the corners,

"Will you be here long? Shall I put the kettle on?" Barbara was taking off her dark blue pullover,

"That's ok, I appreciate it, I'll probably be here for only a little while" She said hanging her hoodie on one of the coat racks on either side of the door that were mostly for decorative purposes as Alfred would put any coats in a closet during parties and meetings,"May I go up?" She asked already at the base of the stairs.

"Of course" Alfred answered.
