Go Hang Out With Alysia

Barbara felt bad that she hadn't been giving Alysia any of her time, she quickly texted her,

'Finally Escaped'

'IlCumpik youp you athe main intranc?'

'yeh, I'll wait'

While waiting for Alysia Barbara texted Dick,

'I'll be Ok'

Finally she texted her father,

'Thnx, be careful, may be home a little later'

As she sent the messege Alysia's 10 year old pink convertible pulled up at the end of the steps with the top down and some top pop song radio station playing, Barbara pocketed her phone and dragged herself to the passengers side door, Alysia turned the radio down a notch as Barbara pulled the door open, trying not to twist her body to much,

"You could at least pretend to be happy to see me" She said in mock offence, Barbara smiled and then winced in pain, Alysia's eyebrows furrowed "Are you ok?"

"Yeah, this place just blows" Barbara answered, she ignited several of the bruises across her body as she pulled her seatbelt on.

Alysia put her foot on the gas a moment before actually turning her eyes to the road,

"Maybe if you weren't on strike from arriving on time it wouldn't suck so bad" She said, Barbara already had her eyes closed as she leaned back against the leather seat,

"Do you have aspirin?" She asked, Alysia glanced at her before pointing to the backseat where she had dumped her tote bag, she looked back at the road just as she got ready to exit the schools parking lot, Barbara glanced at the rearview mirror assessing whether the pain was worth the potential relief, she decided it was and twisted around to fish the small bottle out of the full bag, eventually she found it and sat back in her seat and twisted the cap off,

"Seriously, are you ok?" Alysia asked again as Barbara dumped four of the small tablets into her palm "You're only supposed to take up to three" She said grabbing her stainless steel water bottle from her cup holder and offering it to Barbara,

"I just haven't been focused enough at my kickboxing class" She answered chasing the capsules with a swig of sugarless, fruit flavored liquid,

"Your dad still believe you're going to those?" Alysia asked a little sarcastically, Barbara closed her eyes tight as though she had a headache, which she did but she was actually trying to come up with a more believable reason for her to be so banged up again, she opted to change the subject instead,

"So, what did you want to do?"

The aspirin had assisted in holding the pain at bay as Alysia led Barbara through stores in The Covantry Mall, near every stop Barbara would pick up a canned coffee or energy drink from the nearest vending machine, eventually they got dinner at the food court and then Alysia dropped Barbara off at home.

Barbara went to her room and stripped off her clothes, she inspected the swells and bruises across her body before tossing back a few more tablets of pain medacine, she closed the door and went into her bathroom, she stepped into the shower stall and found the hidden button on the carved out shelf, the wall in front of her twisted silently revealing a small passageway, Barbara stepped through and it closed behind her, her weight in the small space also triggered the shower to turn on outside.

Barbara figured it was about time to go out on patrol but spotted her damaged grapple on her work bench.
