Glance behind side doors

Opening the door to the right reveals a small closet. A collection of brooms and mops, some buckets and a set of shelves in the back. Not much here. As you step back into the hallway the sound of chopping comes loudly from the door leading to the cells.

You don't think you have much time, but you pull open the the door on the other side of the hall. Looks like a latrine, three holes in the tiled floor between raised blocks to stand on directly ahead of you and a large basin stands against the wall to your left. Something is stuck into the wall above the basin, stepping closer you see a damp piece of cloth has been jammed into the mouth of a carved lion’s head directly above the basin.The latrine smells, but not as much as you would have predicted until you hear the sound of running water under the holes. No chance of getting out this way.
