Chapter 75

What's next?
Giving Ophelia a helping hand
Now that he and Lily were more clear on what they wanted from each other—and sexually fulfilled after their dry night—it was time to have a chat with Ophelia.
He didn’t expect to learn as much about her as he had learned about Lily. Ophelia seemed like somebody who wasn’t up for sharing. Regardless, he wanted to get closer to her. Both for her safety from the other Inheritors, and because he was genuinely starting to care for her.
“Whatever you talked about with Lily put her in a much better frame of mind—and I’m not talking about the sex. Her emotional turmoil has settled down considerably thanks to you,” Ophelia reported once they stepped inside and closed the door.
“That’s good to hear. I don’t want to see any of my girls in turmoil. Yourself included.”
Ophelia lips curved upward ever so slightly. “I’m always in turmoil.”
“Then we better get you sorted. Can I be honest?”
“Hard to be anything else, with me.”
“True enough. Well, the thing is; I don’t know how to feel about you. You’re this captivating, mysterious siren who appeared to me and started singing her mysterious song... but I don’t know where that song is leading me.”
They’d been standing at the door up till now, but Ophelia walked over to one of the walls and leaned heavily against it.
“The mysterious siren doesn’t have an answer for you. She’s just as lost as you—even with the help of Clarity.”
“Clarity? Is that what you call your System?” he asked, joining her against the wall.
“It’s not very creative, is it? I wasn’t in the mood to think up a name.”
“I call my AI assistant Cammy, because she started out life in my camera. I’d say we both drew short straws in the creativity department.”
“AI assistant?” she asked curiously.
“You don’t have an AI that lives in your head and gives you helpful hints?”
Judging from the look on her face, she clearly didn’t.
“I do not... but this explains the constant sulking in your head. I could not figure out why you were in a constant state of pout. She’s quite cross with you, I think. You must mistreat the poor thing.”
You’re cross with me? he directed toward Cammy.
Cammy reflected his own words back at him venomously. How can strings of code be cross with anyone?
C’mon Cammy, I-
Focus on your Soul Link, Leon Marshall.
She said it sharply, and then went silent.
“That felt very, very odd. I could feel you having an emotional conflict with yourself,” Ophelia said.
“Sorry you had to witness that. Anyways, let’s get back to me and you for now. I’ll work things out with Cammy later.”
Ophelia closed her eyes, and for a moment he disappointed because he thought she’d decided to spend the rest of their time falling.
“You don’t find me sexually appealing, do you?” she asked, eyes still closed.
And there it was.
He’d been excited about the situation they were in back during her solo pictures. The voyeuristic thrill of looking up her dress... but it wasn’t the same feeling he got with the other girls. That urge to let go of decency and ravish their hot little bodies. Ophelia didn’t inspire that overwhelming carnal lust in him.
“You’re the most mesmerizing, otherworldly, beautiful girl I’ve ever met. Of all my prospective models, you’re the one I’m most excited to photograph, because I don’t know what we’ll find when we discover all the different sides of you under my lens. Isn’t that enough for now?”
Ophelia slid down the wall until her butt met the concrete floor. “And if I say it isn’t?”
He didn’t have an answer for that.
“I’ve never felt the way you made me feel when you were taking pictures of me a few days ago. When you were looking up my dress, talking about reaching out and touching me I felt so... so...” She opened one eye to shyly peek up at him before hastily snapping it closed again. Uncharacteristic pink heat touched her cheeks.
“So... eager,” she finished in a quiet voice. Then added, “I’ve never wanted anyone to touch me until I met you.”
Leon hardened rapidly at her words. If what she was saying was true, did that mean he was the only person she’d ever felt sexually attracted to?
“Surely there have been other guys who made you feel at least a little... eager.”
Ophelia shook her head. “Not a single one. I’d deemed myself asexual until that day.”
“I’ve just been looking at you from the wrong angle...” he whispered.
“Hmm? Wait. This feeling is...”
“Can you feel it? Is Clarity showing it to you?”
“But I thought you didn’t-”
“I was wrong. Open your eyes and you’ll see the proof.”
Her eyes flickered open and looked over at him. They were immediately drawn to the constrained member stretching out his shorts.
The blush on her cheeks grew stronger, and Leon wondered if her expressions were more honest when she was aroused. Certainly seemed to be the case so far.
“So it’s true. But what changed?”
“It doesn’t matter. What matters is whether or not you’re sure you want me to be the first man to get his hands on you. After I touch you it’ll be too late to change your mind.”
Ophelia’s dainty hand found his and tugged on it until he sat down. Once he did, she climbed onto his lap with her back against his chest. His cock rubbed against layers of cotton, trying futilely to pierce the entrance to her hidden Shangri-La.
“I don’t know how to do this...” she stated. Just like last night, she stopped sounding like someone who had all the answers and started sounding more like a normal, inexperienced girl.
“Can I take the lead?” It was the first time he had more experience than one of his partners, and he wanted to teach her body how good he could make it feel.
“Please do. I’m a little nervous.”
He held her hand for moral support, and used his free hand to start lifting the front of her shirt until her mosquito bite titties became exposed.
“I know they aren’t-” Ophelia stopped and cocked her head. “This can’t be right. Clarity tells me you like them.”
“I do. They’re very, very pretty.”
Leon pressed his fingertips into one of her tender, marble colored, cherry capped breasts.
Caught off guard, she let out a girlishly high pitched noise. His dick pressed harder against her crotch in response, aroused by the foreign sound that escaped her gossamer lips.
“N-no...! Don’t listen!” she cried.
“It’s okay. I’m the only one who can hear you. Let it all out, Ophelia.”
“You’re the one who absolutely mustn’t hear me. I don’t want you to see me lose control,” she said, her voice rich with barely stifled pleasure. “How will I keep you interested once you see a piece of the real me?”
His hand stopped on her breast. “What do you mean? I’m excited to see the real you.”
“I only captivate you because I’m a mystery, isn’t that what you said?”
Leon kissed her reassuringly between her shoulder blades. “Captivating mysteries have their place, but nothing would satisfy me more than hearing you as you are, without any filters.”
Ophelia remained silent, but when the motion of his hands resumed and his thumbs caressed her nipples in slow, counter-clockwise circles, she didn’t try to stifle her voice.
He reached between her legs and petted the warmth of her crotch, determined to hear more of her sweet voice.
“You’re so sexy when you let yourself be honest,” he whispered in her ear.
Ophelia lifted her butt up and turned around to straddle him. Their faces were so close together that the tips of their noses poked one another.
“Kiss me,” she demanded.
Longing for the warmth of her lips, he obliged her readily. They tasted deeply of one another as he unzipped her shorts and dug his hand down the front of them, bypassing her panties and going straight for the most honest part of her body.
Her hooded bean fell victim to his generous fingers.
“C-careful. Please be careful.”
“Does it hurt?” he asked.
“On the contrary. It feels so good that I’m scared my mind will go blank,” she revealed, and wrapped her arms around the back of his neck for extra security.
“Hold on tight. I’m not stopping ‘till the end.”
He donated every bit of knowledge he’d learned about pleasing females toward her sexual fulfillment for the next several minutes.
Because her chin rested on his shoulder, her first climax resounded directly into his ear. He’d never forget the dulcet sounds she made as she orgasmed at the mercy of his fingertips.
They sat together in the comfort of the afterglow.
His dick was still hard, but there wasn’t time to teach her how to take care of it for him.
Besides, it was better to use this time to think.
Whatever they were to each other, it was fresh and new. Trying to dig into her personal life wasn’t the way to bond with her. He truly believed that what Ophelia needed more than anything was a trustworthy person to anchor her to the real world, before she decided to depart it forever. He hoped, for several reasons, that sharing this intimate moment with her had helped to cement himself as that very anchor.
“I’m glad we did this. It just felt right, you know?” Leon finally said.
“Agreed,” she replied. She was back to using her hard-to-read voice, but he felt more confident than ever that he could understand her regardless.
“I was in your head,” she confessed. “The whole time you were... taking care of me, Clarity let me see inside of you. I’ve never felt anything like it before.”
“Was I gross in there? Don’t hold me responsible for my subconscious, please,” he joked nervously.
“There was nothing gross about it. It was incredibly flattering, actually. I could feel your overwhelming fixation on making me feel good, and every other thought in between. They were all about me; like I was the only thing that mattered.”
It was Leon’s turn to blush. “In the heat of the moment, you were.”
The sentiment hung unchallenged in the air until he followed up with, “I’m taking Arlette up on her offer, so I guess this will be my home for awhile. If it’s not too much to ask, I’d love for you to live with me. I still don’t like the idea of you sleeping under a bridge.” Ophelia opened her mouth to defend her alternate lifestyle, but he beat her to it. “I don’t care how pleasant you think it is. I want to know you’re safe.”
Ophelia ventured a cute frown at his dismissal before her expression turned serious. “I need you to understand something before I agree to stay here.”
“...What’s up?”
“Keeping me by your side means I need you to be prepared. You mean more to me than anyone has before, but I still feel it. The urge to fall.”
Her expression was unyielding as she tore at his stomach with icy claws.
“I’m not your burden to bear—no matter what you think to the contrary. I don’t want you blaming yourself if I choose the other world over you one day.”
“...I won’t,” he said. One didn’t need Ophelia’s powers to know he was he lying.
“You’re usually more careful about lying to me.”
“I’m not lying. Stay with me.” He knew it was pointless to lie to her, but he was so sure he could save her if he could only keep her at his side.
The warmth of her lips pressed against his cold cheek. She could feel what he was felt, and she took pity on his pain.
“Okay. Clarity can be wrong, just this once,” she said gently. “I’ll stay.”
