"It's not too far, just a short drive away," I replied, glancing at her briefly. "Do you want the tour?"

It was a Sunday morning, and the office would likely be empty.

"I mean, if you don't mind," Abby added, looking sheepish. I smiled, thinking it might be a good opportunity to get to know her better. "Of course, let's go." I turned off and headed to the office. "Thanks," I replied, feeling a small sense of pride. I sat in my big leather chair behind the desk and started looking for the documents I was going to take home.

"I don't, we have a receptionist who handles front desk duties and basic administration," I explained, my gaze fixed on the papers in front of me. "I prefer to handle most things myself."
