Give it a go

Vanessa was curious about what this “virtual experience” could entail. She had always been interested in vr and knowing the type of technology that this store had, she knew she had to give it a go. Vanessa pressed the ok button and a bunch of legal nonsense appeared in front of her. Then, like any sane person, she quickly accepted the terms and conditions without reading a single line of it. She didn’t care what it had to say, just that she wanted to try this experience out. As soon as she accepted the terms the machine got to work. The robotic arms quickly attached little diodes all over her body. Before Vanessa could even react, the arms placed a visor over her head, blocking all vision. Then in an instant she was transported somewhere new. The visor and the diodes were gone and even when she moved her arms to touch the visor she only touched her face. It didn’t feel like any vr she had done before, it felt completely real. However, when she looked at her left wrist a menu popped up. It showed her health, mana, equipment, stats, and other information. That was when Vanessa saw where she was. She was standing behind the counter at a familiar bar, 7th Heaven. It looked exactly like it did in the game, all the way down to the smallest details. However, the bar was empty except for her. None of the other characters were hanging in the bar, which confused her quite a bit. That was when she looked through the menu a bit more. Vanessa finally found an explanation, in this experience all of AVALANCHE had either been captured or killed, with Tifa being the only one to escape. She is hiding out back in Sector 7 but Shinra is still looking for her, as well as other unsavory groups. There was also a list of suggested options for what to do, such as trying to save your friends, hunting monsters, finding a better hiding spot, or anything you could think of. Vanessa was honestly surprised how detailed the experience was, with so much to do. She had a feeling that she needed to do something quick, or she wouldn’t like the results.
