As Natasha felt herself lowering into the pool of water her mind rushed with thoughts but just as her foot hit the water her mind cleared and only one thought remained peace. In that moment Natasha knew what to do she **** her fingers to move but not to hit the button she knew she didn't have the muscles to hit it but like many other things she found it was a lot easier to let go.

As she **** each of her fingers to just relax and stop gripping the remote making each one stretch back till finally she would drop the remote into the water forgoing some idea of escape and embracing the ideal of a new life one free from her past free from the blood on her hands that she could never wash away.

She felt the remote slipping and for a second she tightened her grip on instincting disappointing Petra but only for a second as right before her head was covered by the water she let fully go of the remote not cause she couldn't hold it but cause she didn't want to. Petra smiled as not only could see she Natasha drop the remote she could hear though the helmets system Natasha sighing not out of frustration but out of relief and in that moment Petra knew she won. Cause in that moment even if it was just for a moment she got Natasha to chose this to chose her even if Natasha regretted it even if it was a moment of weakens that moment had caused Natasha to give up any chance she had to save herself and let Petra know she broken Natasha.
