The door slams shut immediately after you enter the empty clubroom behind Sayori. Before you can react, Sayori's easygoing and lighthearted demeanour immediately melts away like a mask made of wax, into an expression warped with terror, pain and concern. She rests her forehead and your chest and grips your uniform meekly with one hand. Though confused by this situation, you can't help but feel distraught seeing your beloved Sayori like this. Hesitantly you put your hand on top of her strawberry blonde hair for comfort.
That's when you notice her shivering.
"Sayori... what's going on? Are you scared of that girl? Who is she, Sayori? Is... is she the reason you didn't meet me on our way to school."
You say to Sayori, who looks up at you with teared eyes. You can hear heavy breathes between sulks.
"I- I don't want to lose you...." Sayori says, gritting her teeth an turning her face in revulsion for being made to say it, "She... Twenty-Twenty-chan has started noticing you... and everyone knows what will happen if you get in her way."
You look at the petite classman clinging to you and getting your uniform wet in tears. "Twenty-Twenty-chan?" You ask confused as you stroke her hair gently, "Twenty-Twenty... wait, twenty-twenty... as in the YEAR twenty-twenty?" You blink as if awoken from a dream. Sayori nods in answer to your question. You can't determine if that's surprizing or not.
Ugh... the website you got this from is going to hear some complaint once you're done playing... is what you thought at first, but really; when you think back to how the cute little girl looked you can't exactly say it's inaccurate.
That just pisses you off more.
"This must be a mistake." You say in frustration, "It's not a mistake!" Sayori blurts out looking in your eyes sincerely, "She's killed before, you know? Over a million people. Innocent people. Good people, some may say great people!" Sayori leans in towards you, pushing her trembling lips next to your ear, "She killed Ruth Bader Ginsburg..:"
Well... you walked right into that one. You sigh.
"What's a girl like this doing in this school anyway?" you ask.
"I... I don't really know..." Sayori says stroking circles on your uniform, "From what I could tell she was friends with the girl who was president of the US-club last year..."
"US-club?" you ask confused.
"Urban safari." Sayori explain, "So when the president graduated, it was her wish that Twenty-Twenty-chan would have the last word on who would end up as the new president." You blink in confusion.
"Wait... a terrible girl like that got to choose the next president of the US-club?" you ask in a shocked voice.
"Yeah, noone really liked that, but it had been settled way before so noone could actually do anything about it. Besides, the new president wasn't so bad... I guess. Some terrible drama, the likes of which has never before been seen rose up from her decision though, something everyone could be without."
After listening to Sayori's explanantion you take a look behind you, where the door is. For a single brief instance you could see the masked face of Twenty-Twenty-chan through the window of the door before she slunk away behind the wall.
You look back towards Sayori.
"From now on, just... stay away from me. And the other girls, except during club hours. It's... it's for your own good... all right?" Sayori says trying to put up a brave facade. Of course, you know she is breaking inside for being made to say this.
