Give Jake hell

Daves' mom chooses that moment to return, and the vacant look on her face as she sauntered back into the room was enough to dispel any momentary power-fantasies Dave had.

There were quite a few things Dave would love change about his mother if he had the opportunity ( which he definitly did now ) , but even if he thought she was too hard on him, seeing her reduced to some bird-brained plaything was just pitfull.

Jake seemed to sense the shift in Daves' mood, and put a placating hand out "Come now Dave. We are buds aren't we?" Too little, too late.

"Jake." Dave said coldly "Sit down and shut the fuck up. "

Jake did as he was told and was looking increasingly nervous as Dave just stared at him pondering how to deal with this entire mess. He had read enough books to know, hasty wishes were usually the ones you regreted,; especially if demons were involved.

Seeing his mother slide her hands beneath her robe to absently play with herself while he was dealing with Jake was the last straw. "Mom, go to your room and sleep peacefully until I wake you up."

"That a demon just gave you a powerfull magical artifact, should have been a warning sign right there Jake. These guys aren't really know aspire to any noble goals.

Not that the demon even needed to ask for the traditional soul, you seemed pretty determined to earn your place down there on your own. " Dave gave a short laugh

Heh, that actually gives me an idea. Given where it came from, i am kind of worried all attempts to use this thing to end cancer or do something noble would make it pull a monkey's paw on me.

But I am pretty confident misery and **** are right up it's alley."

Jake whimpered slightly as Dave gave him a sinister grin

"And since you seem to be so eager to get someplace warm after you die, I'll try and give you a hell of your own making."

Jake screwed his eyes shut, waiting for the blow to come. When nothing happened he slowly cracked an eye open to look at Dave, sweat beading his face.

"Still trying to come up with something good. Things might be easier if people thought you went away for a while. So in another minute, you will get up and empty out your entire account. In your mind you will do this because you do not trust electronic cash any more. Once you have your money, you will take it back here, to ask me for financial advise and wait patiently on this couch for me.

Once you are out of our front door and until you see my mom the next time, you won't remember anything that happened since the moment you met the demon, and have a vague recollection of doing something unremarkable and boring during this time instead. "

Witht that done Dave walked upstairs to the master bedroom, to decide what to do with his mother and come up with an apropriate fate for Jake.
