What should she do?
Girls' Night in
Arron was more than a bit startled to hear a knock on the door and when she got there, Hannah, the neighbor, was standing there looking a bit flustered and sheepishly asked if she was busy that evening. Far be it for her to turn down someone that looked like she needed a friend at the moment, Arron simply smiled and motioned for her to come in and closed the door behind her. "Sorry to barge in like this but I needed a little break..."
She shook her head as she led her neighbor into the kitchen and took out some glasses to go along with the bottle of wine that Hannah was carrying with her. "That's okay. Sarah's out and I've got nothing to do anyway, why not have some company?"
By the time that the clock turned to 9, the two of them had been sitting on the couch in the living room, polishing off the first bottle and opening a second one that Hannah had called her son to bring over before he went out on his date. From what she could figure, Arron learned that Gerald had decided that afternoon to begin to clean and reorganize the garage, plunging her living room and kitchen into a chaotic semi-trashed storage unit. Then, to top it off, Gerald and her second oldest had managed to put greasy towels and rags onto fine linen and spoiled a whole dining room set. Even in her somewhat drunken state, Arron wistfully prayed that Gerald had some bad life insurance policy because it didn't look like he would make it through the night at this point.
"...so, how are you guys settling in?" Hannah asked, twirling around a small bit of wine left in the glass. For her part, Arron wasn't so trusting of herself and handling of glass and had somehow managed to place it on the sidetable next to the part of the couch she was sitting on.
"Work's been good, Sarah's still trying to figure out where she's going for school come next year, though I'm sure Michael will have something to do with her choice."
Hannah smiled at that before she looked at her new friend. "Speaking of friends, what's this I hear of you making nice nice with Derek's dad? William, is it?"
Arron nodded. "He's nice, friendly, though a bit awkward..."
She laughed at that and finished the last gulp of wine. "William's a great guy, don't get me wrong, but he was so smitten by his late wife that the fact he's awkward around you tells me he's starting to break out of his shell. That, my friend, is a win for you." She leaned forward. "It's a bit sad about V but she would want him to be happy. You could do a lot worse than William..."
"Like who?"
Hannah thought for a moment. "You know, there's this guy I know, named Richard..."
"Dick?"
"You've met, I take it?"
Arron groaned and nodded, pouring out the last bit of wine into both their cups. "I've been told he's made the rounds once or twice with the other girls and now I'm fresh meat for him."
"Yes, well, Dick is the only time you'll get a capital D out of him."
Arron paused for a moment and then looked at her. "No way..."
"I'm happily married, Arron, but I do know people. Your friend, Cynthia, she talks a bit too much." The image was just too funny and Arron had to cover her mouth as she laughed at that picture in her head. "Thankfully, she came to her senses but that's why he hangs around your department so much."
With the last bottle of wine emptied and the clock nearing 11, Arron helped Hannah to her feet and the two of them laughed and leaned on each other until they reached the doorway and after assuring her that she could make it across the way, Hannah stumbled her way to her doorway while Arron stood there and watched after her. Only when she disappeared into the house and the door was closed did she feel comfortable enough to close the door herself and then spent the next 10 minutes cleaning up before she locked up the house and made her way to the bedroom with a small cup of wine left.
Arron sipped some more of the wine as she slipped out of the dress she was still wearing from work, her exhaustion ruling out a shower or bath, but she still found herself both incredibly horny and incredibly turned on. It still seemed a bit odd for her to be thinking or doing anything like this but she just took another sip and went to the dresser. A few moments later, she had managed to change out of her clothes and slid into a small black-one piece she had found at Victoria's Secret the other day, figuring that she would wear it if she felt the mood was right. Drinking 7 glasses of wine would do that to a girl, she mused, and she stood in front of the mirror and snapped a selfie.
M: Hey Baby, how are you doing?
A few moments later, he answered.
D: Sucks that I gotta be away. How are you doing, babe?
Arron smiled and clicked on the picture, selecting and then tapping out a message to him before clicking send.
M: Too bad you weren't here, need something to suck on tonight. Guess I'll make do with something smaller.
M: Got something for you, just to keep you interested...
M: Love ya!
