Chapter 50 by BreaktheBar BreaktheBar

What's next?

Girl's Trip!

“Hey, how are you feeling?” April asked as Zara flopped into the passenger seat of her car. Her friend was dressed in a crop top and tight jeans, and was wearing her hiking boots. Her red hair was pulled back into a half-pony and she had her sunglasses firmly planted on the front of her face.

“Why the fuck are we doing this?” Zara sighed dramatically, looking over at her friend.

“Because I need to keep making a good impression on the important people in Oliver’s life,” April said. “And you’re important in my life, and mixing social circles is part of a real relationship.”

“But I don’t even live here,” Zara groaned, putting a petulant little whine into it on purpose as she smirked. “Seriously. We could spend a Saturday doing us stuff. Or, since all these ‘important people’ are gonna be busy with these plans, we could go over to Oliver’s and run back Thursday night.”

“I guess you aren’t feeling ‘like my pussy is a gaping cavern, you monster-cocked cunt-ruiner,’” April said with a smirk, mimicking her friend’s voice almost flawlessly.

Zara rolled her eyes. “No. I feel much better than yesterday morning, thank you.”

“Oh, please,” April snorted. “You felt pretty fucking good yesterday morning, too.”

Zara smiled a little, thinking back twenty-four hours. Waking up the first time sandwiched between April and Ollie had been nice, even if she’d had to wriggle her way out so she could go empty her bladder. Waking up that second time though had been sheer luxury. Oliver’s cock had been half-hard and pressing against her ass, and she’d started licking April’s cleavage until her friend had woken up and fed Zara her nipples. Once Oliver had woken up and realised what was going on he’d really woken up and Zara had gotten a fantastic early morning screw and a nice little pick-me-up orgasm before both she and April had gotten under the covers and tag-teamed sucking his giant prick until he’d come.

Then they’d cleaned up, gotten dressed and went out to breakfast at this cute little cafe before Ollie had headed to work and she and April had fetched April’s car to head home.

“Oh, shit,” Zara said, her face dropping a little. “I forgot to tell you. The girl he lives with, the one who was working at the coffee place-”

“Hikaru?” April asked.

“Sure,” Zara nodded. “I got up in the middle of the night to pee and kinda ran into her waiting outside the bathroom.”

“Oh,” April said with a little frown. “Well… I guess that’s… kind of awkward.”

“I was butt fuckin’ naked,” Zara clarified.

“Uuugh,” April groaned. The only reason she wasn’t more dramatic about it was because she was driving. “Zara, that’s so much worse.

“Well, how was I supposed to know she’d be up at four in the morning?” Zara argued. “Are you trying to tell me you would have gotten dressed to go pee?”

“No, but I’m his girlfriend. And I’ve met her before at least.”

“Well, it happened,” Zara said. “And I didn’t want to bring it up around him.”

“She’s going to be with us today,” April said. “Like, if you’d given me some warning I could have called ahead of time to apologise or something. Mitigate how… fucking awkward this could be. What if she told Margot and Hannah?”

“I still don’t know who these people are, Ape,” Zara said.

“Margot is his neighbour,” April said. “She’s like… picture a blonde cowgirl and you pretty much have the right mental image. They haven’t known each other for a long time but they’re good friends. And Hannah is his oldest, longest friend. She’s his Zara. She’s this short blonde, super athletic, and totally the opposite of him but in all the right ways and history to make them practically inseparable.”

Zara groaned, rubbing her hands over her face and under her sunglasses. “OK,” she mumbled. “You do realise that like everything you just said is a major red flag, right? His best, oldest friend is a hot athletic chick and his second-best friend is a hot cowgirl. If we have to fight these bitches for him we’re probably gonna get our asses handed to us. I mean, I’ll cut a bitch for you, but if he didn’t fuck like he does I don’t know if he’d be worth it.”

“The sex doesn’t make it worth it, he does,” April said. “And I’ve met them both, they’re polite and nice and are setting this whole thing up so we can get to know each other. That’s a green flag - it would be red if they were trying to avoid me or exclude me or something.”

“Or they are planning to **** us both and bury us… wherever we’re going,” Zara sighed.

“I’m, like, 78 per cent sure they aren’t going to kill us.”

Zara blinked and looked over at April. “That is way lower than I thought it would be.”

April snorted and then grinned as she shook her head, taking a moment to focus on making her left turn before picking the conversation up again. “So, other than the potential ****-trip we’re on and how the sex with my boyfriend was friggin’ amazing, how are you actually feeling?”

Zara sighed and looked out the passenger window, avoiding the question.

“Zara,” April pushed. “Are we OK?”

“Of course we’re OK,” Zara said. “I ate your pussy, you ate mine, both of them were full of your boyfriend’s fucking gallon of spunk - I mean, for real, that was a ridiculous amount of cum. I felt bloated, sucking it all up.”

“Guess that’s why you hogged most of it the next morning,” April deadpanned.

That actually got Zara to blush and she looked out the window again. “We’re fine, babe,” she said.

“How fine?”

“What does that even mean?”

“Like, you just mentioned you’d be down to bail on this trip and go have another threesome,” April pointed out. “Which would mean us having sex again. Look, Zara, I had a lot of fun and I totally fucking love you. Having sex with you was awesome and we were dumb for not doing it before. But I need to know if we’re OK. Are we OK if we never have sex again? Are we OK if Oliver is only comfortable if we have sex with him there? Could you handle that?”

“I’m not some bitch in heat, dragging my cunt across the carpet,” Zara said. “Whatever works for you.”

“That’s not an answer,” April said.

“Well, it’s the answer I’m giving.”

“That’s not good enough for me.”

“What do you want me to say?” Zara asked.

“The truth.”

“The truth? Whose truth? Yours, mine, or his?”

April scoffed. “The truth, Zara.”

“Fine, the truth is that what we did last night was the best sex I’ve ever had bar none, I’ve never felt closer to you than when I woke up in your arms that morning, and I’ve never felt safer with a guy than with Oliver and that’s fucking weird because I met him that night but you vouching for him and seeing him with you made it really fucking easy. I don’t know if I’m actually OK because my best friend, who I love and have fantasised about fucking for years, is in a relationship with the only guy who has ever made me come and that I could actually see myself developing feelings for. But he’s also not my type and is a giant fucking nerd who needs to lose like two hundred pounds and get a fucking makeover before he’d be actually attractive enough for either of us and yet somehow none of that matters because he makes me feel squishy inside and I don’t want to feel fucking squishy because that’s fucking uncomfortable for me. And now I’m meeting his goddamn friends instead of taking advantage of the two more days I’m in town and getting more time alone with you or him.” She gasped in a breath at the end, then raised her feet and planted her heels on her seat as she tucked her face between her bent knees.

April pulled over, the only sound between them the ticking of the blinker and the whoosh of a couple cars passing them. Then she undid her seatbelt and leaned over, wrapping her arms around Zara and hugging her tightly.

Zara cried for the first time in forever, and it felt awful and really good and April just held her through it.

Things were… weird.

Hannah couldn’t put her finger on it, but something was going on. Maybe more than one something.

When she’d met up with Hikaru and Margot in their parking lot that morning, Hannah had got the feeling pretty early on. She’d tested the waters, seeing if they were mad at each other, or at her, and hadn’t gotten anything back. Things had eased during the ride out of the city, but as they got closer to the ranch or stables or whatever where Margot kept her horse it had gotten a little more tense again. The whole ride took less than thirty minutes, so that ‘things aren’t weird’ timeframe had been a nice ten minutes.

Then April and Zara had shown up, and things had felt even more weird. No one was saying or doing anything rude, or passive-aggressive. No one was giving side-eye. Zara had a bit of a sarcastic attitude and April had given Hannah a little warning that her friend could be a bit abrasive, but the redhead seemed to be on her good behaviour. Ollie had mentioned that she started out pretty bitchy at the start when they first met but she’d mellowed out the more time they spent together.

To be fair, April wasn’t being weird. If anything, she was trying maybe a little too hard to not be weird. Some of her casual goofiness that was part of her personality was toned down, and Hannah got the sense she was checking in with Zara with little glances.

The people being really weird were Margot and Hikaru. Both girls were friendly but almost… too friendly. Not ****, but it was giving Hannah a vibe. Almost, but not quite, needy? Or clingy? Or…

It was hard to put her finger on.

Zara had been terrified and thrilled when she found out they were all going to get to ride horses. That had been funny. Margot had gotten permission from someone who owned one of the other horses being stabled at the place for them to ride their horse too, and she got all four of the girls to help out getting the equipment - ‘tack,’ Margot insisted, not ‘horse stuff’ - and then taught them the basics of everything as she got the horses ready. Then a lady who worked at the stable came over and helped Margot teach them to ride around the fenced-in area.

“Did it feel weird to you?” Zara asked Hannah. “Having something alive like that under you, so much bigger and more powerful?”

They were standing outside the fence, watching April and Hikaru take another turn. Margot was smiling as she guided them but Hannah could tell she wanted to get up on her horse and go for a proper ride.

“Sort of,” Hannah answered. “Definitely not the feeling I was expecting. ‘Big and more powerful’ is a good way of putting it, but maybe not enough. Like, I’m not a prude, I’ve hooked up with a big, muscley guy or two in my life. Being on one of them didn’t feel like that - I almost felt powerless up there.”

“I’ve only been with one bigger guy,” Zara said, almost murmuring it. “The horse is bigger, obviously, but it kind of had the same feel. Like he could do whatever he wanted, but was willing to let me guide him.”

“Sounds like a fun time,” Hannah smirked.

Zara snorted and blushed, glancing at Hannah. “Yeah, I can give TMI sometimes.”

“No, it’s fine,” Hannah chuckled. “Can you answer a question for me?”

“Depends on the question.”

“Is April going to break Ollie’s heart?” Hannah asked. “I mean, I don’t think she is planning on it or anything, but he’s falling for her. I can tell. And he’s not… experienced. With dating, or relationships. I just need to know if she has a habit of changing her mind all of a sudden, or getting the Ick out of nowhere.”

Zara sighed, looking back out at her friend on the horse. “April is a rock,” she said. “She says it’s serious with Oliver, so it’s serious. She won’t change her mind unless something drastic happens or develops.”

Hannah didn’t like the fact that her stomach churned and knotted at the confirmation. April wasn’t going anywhere. Not that Hannah wanted her to, but that would have made everything so much easier - Ollie would get his heart broken, but then she, Margot and Hikaru could help him put it back together and in the process Hannah could…

“That’s good to know,” Hannah said and cleared her throat. She didn’t want to go there with those thoughts. “They’re really good together.”

“I wasn’t expecting it, but they are,” Zara said. “He’s a good man. Don’t tell anyone I said that or I’ll have to start acting like a cunt though. I’ve got a reputation to maintain.”

“I won’t, and he is,” Hannah said, smirking a little but kicking herself for not realising it soon enough herself. “He really is.”

“What do you think?” Hikaru asked Margot quietly.

Margot sighed and put off answering by splashing some more water on her face from the stable sink. The horse riding had gone well, no one fell off or got hurt beyond some of the usual ache in the thighs and neither of the horses got spooked. They both got plenty of attention, which was what was really important. She got out to see her mare Mandala four or five times a week, and the stable folks filled in the gaps, but Margot was used to taking care of her horses on a daily basis. It didn’t feel fair for Mandala to not get that personal, specific attention.

She stood back up from leaning over the big utility sink, grabbing one of the nearby dry rag towels and swiping it across her face before looking back at Hikaru.

“She’s pretty, thin and standoffish,” Margot finally said. “I can’t see Ollie even wanting to hang out with her, except that April introduced them. She doesn’t have anything on you and me, Hikki. Don’t feel threatened.”

“Are you sure?” Hikaru asked, her lips twisted in a grimace. “You didn’t see her… you know, naked. And all confident. I don’t think I could ever be that confident just walking around naked in front of a stranger.”

“I don’t know,” Margot sighed, shaking her head and looking back down the length of the stable towards the others. They were brushing down Mandala the way Margot had shown them, and Hannah was laughing as she fed the horse another big, gnarly carrot. “I honestly don’t. And it’s not like we can just ask, ‘Hey, now that you’re doing threesomes, how would you feel about us joining in or having our own?’ If we want to get more of a vibe, we’re going to have to put in some work and take some risks.”

“What does that mean?” Hikaru asked. “Like… open up first?”

“Maybe,” Margot said, chewing on the inside of her lip as she considered things. “Or maybe we just need to do the thing that’s the most obvious. We all go get day drunk and ask each other inappropriate questions.”
