“Lilly, I think we should have a look at Gina’s project,” you decide, “she is not wrong, we were lucky it was so dry the last days. It was not a problem, when only the previous owner lived here, but now that we are all here, we can’t risk flooding the attic. Someone might get hurt.”

“I still don’t see why she needs help for this, but fine,” Lilly mumbles disappointed, “you are the boss. But I must insist that we at least use the afternoon for the baths. I will never again wait for our fearless leader to finish her morning shower when I have to pee.”

“I told you I’m sorry,” Jenny replies, “I haven’t heard you. You can go with Connor to the hardware store. I guess you are as good as Max for this.”

“With pleasure,” Connor says and nods, “Max knows more about electricity, but for the moment you are the best I could get.”

With this decided, you finish your meal, grab some tools and head with Gina to the attic. You took a look at the big crack in the roof right after you moved in. It is huge. Over a length of seven meters the roof is practically gone. Burning marks on the ground and beams hint to a fire caused by a thunderbolt. Everything was covered by plastic tarpaulins, so the house under the crack is protected from rain. But over the years, the tarpaulins were torn, blown away or slashed by sharp pieces of wood. Many are just shreds hanging over black burnt roof supports. And you and your friends had to repair a lot of water damages under this crack.

From the beginning, it was clear this would be a huge piece of work. But Gina always had the idea of turning this part of the roof down and turn the area into a greenhouse on the roof. The main support beams are still intact and the burned and broken roof around can easily get removed. For the beams, you and Lilly will have to sacrifice another weekend or even more. But the roof crucibles could at least be used for the small holes. However, it is still very dangerous here, because you have no idea how stable the roof is. Carefully you activate the ring in case you need a second chance.

“So, what do think, Max?” Gina asks while walking around, “imagine this ugly burned skeleton turning into a glasshouse with plants everywhere. We could grow tomatoes here, even in winter. And whenever we want, we could come up and enjoy the view in our neighbors’ gardens.”

“I guess with the glass house and the planned solar panels, the whole building would look very modern” you admit, “well, let’s get started. We make a small sketch and photos of the current situation and then take the measurements for your friend.”

“Ex-boyfriend,” Gina corrects you, “we are not friends anymore. After the breakup, our talks are tense. He only offered to help because he can use this in his courses. But I guess that we help each other makes us something like friends.”

“Be careful over there,” you warn Gina who stands at the border of the roof, where the crack goes almost down to the floor, “we don’t know how much these beams can carry.”

“I think you worry too much,” Gina replies and leans even further forward, “this view. It is amazing. You have to see it.”

And as if fate wants to prove you right, in the next moment, there is a loud crack and Gina screams. The border under her arms broke and Gina skipped over. You are too shocked to react in time. Gina falls like a stone and hits the ground next to the house with deadly speed. You carefully look after her, but all you see is a body in a puddle of blood who isn’t

“GINA?” you scream and see the lifeless body of your friend, “GINA? Oh my god. PLEASE SAY SOMETHING!”

Jenny suddenly appears. She must have heard the screams and looks for the reason. She screams too and runs to Gina’s body. You don’t know if Gina is still alive and needs an ambulance, but you know you will not risk anything. The ring must help you. You activated it some minutes ago and now you can use it to save Gina.

“Back,” you say almost begging to the ring and can’t help but sigh in relieve when the world spins.

“So, what do think, Max?” Gina asks while walking around, “imagine this ugly burned skeleton turning into a glasshouse with plants everywhere. We could grow … Max, are you alright? You look so pale.”

“I … I’m fine, thanks,” you say and shake your head, “but …better not get to close to the hole, it is not save and it goes 15 meters down. Let’s just take the measurements for your Ex-boyfriend and go down.”

“I think you worry too much,” Gina replies careless and leans even further forward, “look at this view. It is amazing. You have to see it.”

You know what will happen next. You can change time, but obviously not Gina’s behavior. You have to save her yourself. The question is, how will you do it? You can either just save and lecture her, or you save her and have some fun.
